(Above photo credit: fbi.gov archive Fugitive Profile as of August 30th, 2014 (Based on FBI.gov archived wanted poster): Aliases: Leonor Banuelos, Alicia Banuelos, Leonor Alicia Banuelos, Alicia Banuelos-Flores, Alicia-Leonor Banuellos Date(s) of Birth Used: April 8, 1968 Place of Birth: Mexico Height: 5'6" Weight: 138 pounds Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown Sex: Female Race: White (Hispanic) Nationality: Mexican Remarks: Banuelos has connections in El Paso, Texas, and Mexico. Who to call if you've seen her: Local FBI field office or embassy or submit a web tip at tips.fbi.govAMW has aired the case of Illinois fugitive Alicia Banuelos in 2006 and 2010, both during 15-seconds of shame segments. I do consider her to be highly underrated. In 1997, Banuelos gave birth to a newborn girl in her home's bathroom after joking and denying her pregnancy because her husband had left her. Banuelos then proceeded to drown her child to death in a toilet. Banuelos was charged but a relative posted bond. She was given supervised visits with her other daughter, four-year old Lyric Garcia. In 1999, Banuelos disappeared with Lyric during one of those visits and since then, Banuelos has been a fugitive wanted for murder and child abduction. Dispite this, no one has ever published online a photo or even a description of Lyric Garcia. A few days after she fled, she contacted a boyfriend. That boyfriend said that he believed she was either in El Paso, Texas or Mexico. A second call to the boyfriend was traced to Zactecas, Mexico where Banuelos is believed to have friends. Unsurprisingly the family has been uncooperative. As of 2008 there have been no sightings of Banuelos. As of 2011, she was not on Cook County's list of fugitives being actively sought from Mexico. www.fbi.gov/wanted/murders/alicia-leonor-banuelos/viewwww.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,411022,00.html articles.chicagotribune.com/2011-10-29/news/ct-met-banuelos-fugitives-profiles-20111029_1_gary-marx-palatine-resident-newborn-infantAdmin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Another underrated fugitive who's not only dangerous, but also has a potential victim with her. You would think she would get a lot of publicity, but sadly that's not the case.

Really bizarre it took AMW 7 years to air her, then only as 15 seconds, and now she's removed.

Does anyone have a theory as to why the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) doesn't have a profile page for Lyric Garcia?

Not really. I guess there was just never a photo found of her?

Banuelos was apparently removed from the FBI's website sometime in the last three years, but there is nothing to suggest that she was captured.

Thanks for the price time, although it still seems she's at large. A case as horrible as this, I'd assume we'd hear something. The only exceptions are if they're captured in Mexico, sometimes it's not announced until years later as they want to make sure they're extradited and/or extradition is fought, but I've seen no indication of that in this case as far as I know.

Apparently she wasn’t captured but was replaced by Bhadreshkumar Patel, who was then a breaking news case. Also if she’s hasn’t been caught hopefully they’ll reopen or revisit the case in the near future.

Once again have not been able to find any updates except to say I feel it's reasonably safe to assume that Banuelos is still at large as of this update (7/15/2018) since I haven't found anything online suggesting otherwise.
Of course, as always, if anyone has any updates/proof-of-updates one way or the other, they are always more than welcome to let us know.

Just wanted to give an update that this week, I did decide to look up the official records from the Northern District of Illinois's UFAP case against Alicia Banuelos. This was provided by the federal court records system PACER. I sent a PM to Scumhunter and TopTenHunter about PACER but I wanted to cover what I found in this case.
The warrant is recorded in 1999 as we all know. In 2011 and 2012 there was a motion for "miscellaneous relief". What that means in short as that it's a correction in the clerical mistake in the judgment. That document was sealed (not accessible).
However there was no documentations or case updates recorded until 2020 which was general updates on Covid-10 and how that was effecting local cases.
So therefore, since Alicia Banuelos was on the FBI's site until 2015 (according to toptenhunter) and with no references to the warrant recalled or anything like that between 2012-2020, I can conclude that as of June 11, 2020, Alicia Banuelos is still at large on the UFAP warrant.
EDIT: The case was also shown as opened in 1999 but with no closed date which is another indication that she is still at large.

Makes it even weirder that she was removed from the FBI site in my opinion. Then again, Arnoldo Jimenez was removed from the site only to wind up on the top ten list so you never know if the case is more active than it appears to be.
