Also, if this does become AMW Direct Capture #1204, it would mark the first Lifetime-aired direct capture in a country not in North or Central America (which technically speaking is still part of North America). The others were Otis Holland and Luiz Gonzalez in Mexico and Larene Austin in Belize.

If this is AMW Capture #1204, then it would be the third fugitive captured by the show in Colombia, the first two were Armando & Toribio Garcia who were caught all the way back in 1994.

That would be pretty amazing! It looks promising but I don't want to get my hopes up. It's so bittersweet these captures are happening while AMW's off the air but I take it they may help prove the show's value and success.

John Caro has been sentenced to 13-30 years in a plea deal. Once again, AMW is credited for leading to his capture. My feeling is AMW had a post-cancellation staff and he hadn't yet been extradited which is why they never took credit. I think if AMW had survived on Lifetime, they would have taken credit eventually, and he would have been the first international capture for the show that wasn't in Mexico. In my opinion, anyway. thetimes-tribune.com/news/man-who-shot-stripper-fled-to-colombia-sent-to-state-prison-1.1854987

Sure, that was Central America, but Caro would've been Lifetime's first capture in South America.

Oh right, I think because there's so much mystery to whatever happened to Larene Austin I forgot about her lol. Caro would have been the first capture not from Central America.

Found out that in December of 2014, Caro pleaded guilty to one count of attempted homicide. A judge sentenced him in March to 13 to 30 years in prison. He filed an appeal of the sentence in 2016, but I don't know what happened after that. www.poconorecord.com/article/20160121/NEWS/160129919
