This is awesome like Moises Galvan Gonzalez she was hiding in plain sight or at least in the same area goes to show that people who are fugitives can be literally living right next door kind of freaky when you think of it

It makes sense even in her younger photo she looks like a normal woman and nothing really stands out about her. It’s easy to fly under the radar like that.

I was starting to lose hope this case would ever be solved, but with that, both fugitives named to Walsh's year-end most wanted lists twice are caught.
On the list I made of my most wanted of '003, only the St. James Gang remains, with my 9th ranked Alejandro Polinar Romero-Solis the lone holdout.

I remember when AMW first aired her in May 2003, they updated the case two months later after receiving several confirmed sightings of her. At the time, the tips said she was still in California. The detective went to a restaurant to follow up and one of the waitresses confirmed that she had been there because she remembered getting her a glass of water. Those tips came in from Columbia, California, which is just 60 miles from Manteca, where she was wanted out of.
Curiously, Alameda is also only 66 miles from Manteca. I wonder if she was just bouncing around from California town to California town for the last 20-something years. But as has been mentioned, she probably just looked like your average grandmother and nobody ever paid her any attention. I'm just stunned it took so long to find her...but at least she's now in custody.

The thing I will never, ever forget was the social worker assigned to this case speaking on AMW and saying she had seen these injuries on children before, but invariably, the child was deceased when those injuries were present. I just hope the victim has turned out okay in this case.

I thought for sure she had fled the country. Glad to see she's in jail and may justice be served here.

For Valencia's final profile in 2012, AMW actually interviewed her brother, who was also one of Valencia's victims. It's been several years since I've seen the airing, but if I recall correctly, he'd said that "Mary" (the name she was going by) was doing well.

It makes sense even in her younger photo she looks like a normal woman and nothing really stands out about her. It’s easy to fly under the radar like that. And there were only a couple of photos of her, one from her younger days and just one from when she look a little older. Wouldn't have been hard to slip under the radar given that.
