I think Yager's the most underrated fugitive currently on the USMS 15 List. What few people know about is that Yager's RICO indictment includes the robbery and homicide of an elderly couple in Northern Illinois. According to the same FOX News series that profiled Raymond Abbott, Yager carried out criminal activities for the Outlaws which is what the sargeant-at-arms would have normally done. As far as Yager's girlfriend, Margie Jelovcic, I believe she was either murdered or sold into sex trafficking. She would have become too much of a liability for the Outlaws. As for Yager's whereabouts, the Outlaw's official website says they have chapters in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Russia and Australia among other nations. I believe he's most likely residing in Europe but he could be anywhere in North America, Europe, Asia or even Oceania. www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,455467,00.html

Randy Yager has been captured in Mexico after 17 years on the run, 10 of them on the top 15 list! This is the first amwfans.com dirty dozen member to go down!
Unfortunately, it seems it's still unknown what happened to Margaret Jelovic, Yager's girlfriend who has also been missing since 1997.,
Hopefully we now get some answers.

Wow this was a huge shock, but a pretty awesome capture! I really hope we get some answers as to what happened to his girlfriend. And yes, thankfully one of our Forum Most Wanted fugitives has gone down!

P.S. Considering the many places in the world that had Outlaws chapters, I am surprised that Yager was able to stay in Mexico for this long (that's if he wasn't somewhere else initially) but great news nonetheless!

So now that the US Marshals have only 10 fugitives on their 15 Most Wanted List, will they finally add a new fugitive!?

I know right! It takes them forever to add new guys (or girls) lately. They've had a GREAT 2014 so far, but that's all the more reason to continually update the list.
The FBI has wasted no time adding fugitives to the top 10 list since their new director took over.

There is an official press release out from the Marshals now. Although I am disappointed to see not much mention of Margaret Jelcovic anywhere, either in the release or elsewhere. Her family deserves some answers. But as said earlier, hopefully more is learned in the coming weeks, and Yager, now in custody, will be free to say what happened to her knowing he's likely going to jail for the rest of his life anywhere. I am going to be honest and say it really doesn't sound good for Jelcovic that she wasn't with Yager though. But of course all families can do are hope and not give up. In any case, this is still an incredible capture. Out of all the guys on our initial site dirty dozen, who would have guessed Randy Yager to go down first. He probably would have been my last guess! www.usmarshals.gov/investigations/most_wanted/yager/yager-cap.htm

A new article says Yager's girlfriend fled the scene of the arrest and died when her SUV flipped over. However, they don't say if this is a new girlfriend or Jelovcic. Would be tragically ironic ifafter all these years it turns out she was actually alive but died anyway. www.laht.com/article.asp?ArticleId=2357014&CategoryId=14091

Someone on the sitcoms online Unsolved Mysteries board is saying Margie Jelovcic was with Yager but was shot and killed by Mexican authorities. But of course that is an internet poster. So one news article says "girlfriend" died when her SUV flipped over, and a poster claims it was Jelovcic but she was shot and killed instead.
Who knows what to believe until we get a news article confirming anything. But right now it looks like there are two possible unconfirmed scenarios: Yager was alone with a new girlfriend who got killed and Margie's case is still unsolved. Or Yager was with Jelovcic and she got killed as a result of the capture. It's a sad outcome no matter what. He was a dangerous man that needed to be taken off the streets and it's a great capture, but it's also tragic if the initial article is accurate and the arrest had to result in the death of someone else.

The deceased woman involved in the Yager capture is indeed Margaret Jelovic according to the Facebook website Rosarito En La Noticias. (Rosarito in the news) They had been living under the aliases Margie Rothman and Steve Rothman. You have to scroll down to October 16th and translate but this is the comment in English from a poster on another Facebook post where I found out about the site: "His wife wanted to go rescue him, she.was involved in police chase last night in rosarito and shot herself in the head causing her to flip over in front of burger king in Rosarito.... She was driving with a gun." That would explain the different versions of death we've read (one involving a bullet and the other just mentioning an SUV flipping over). I'm still unclear if she shot herself or was shot by the Mexican police (I'm not a native Spanish speaker but the translation on Google translate seems to indicate suicide) but in any case Margie Jelovcic is now deceased. Sad ending. My condoloences to the Jelovcic family. www.facebook.com/pages/Rosarito-en-la-Noticia/336949869773084

I always thought that them capturing Yager and finding out that Jelovic was killed some time before would be the worst possible outcome of this case, but I find this to be worse. Not only did Jelovic not even try to contact her family and let them know she was alright, when they were worried she was dead, but, in the end, she ends up dead anyway. I can only imagine how bad the family must feel.

I still keep reading different versions involving gun shots or not but the SUV flipping over does seem to be confirmed. In the end, it is confirmed Jelovcic died as a result of a police chase, whether it involved bullets or not.
And I agree czar. This is the definition of tragic irony.
