Watching CNN now, and longtime AMW fugitive and former FBI top tenner James "Whitey" Bulger has been found guilty of 31 out of the 32 charges against him. He faces a life and considering his age, I'd say pretty much any sentence can be a life sentence! Great work by the jury who didn't rush through and took the necessary time to reach the verdicts! www.cnn.com/2013/08/12/us/whitey-bulger-trial-verdict/index.html

I didn't find this quite fair, as all of his associates walked on several murders and pinned everything on him. Kevin Weeks only received 5 years for 5 murders, John Martorano over 20 murders and only did 10 years, etc. How can the jury really trust the testimony of people who made deals with prosecutors?

Are you saying Whitey was not guilty? I mean yeah the people testifying against him weren't exactly character witnesses. But a scumbag can still be telling the truth. And yeah, it's a shame if people also deserving of harsher punishment received slaps on the wrist compared to Whitey, but it doesn't mean he deserves to go to jail for less time just because the other guys did. The jury spent five days before deciding so it's not like they decided right away to put him away which would have looked suspicious. I think at the very least we can agree Whitey deserves to be in jail for the rest of the life. The jury made their decision, based on evidence given to them by the prosecutors. That in my opinion should be respected. Whitey and his lawyers can appeal if it was unfair.

If prisoners have the rights to Email, then I think they should have the right to do what he was doing now and then. ☺
