According to a new article, a year after Stoeser went on the run, unfortunately, the tips have dried up for Stoeser. They say they are checking a lead he was spotted in California from a few days ago but that's it. Back in June, they had several tips but none credible. I think what is hard in finding Stoeser is according to a few articles I read he may be living as a transient. Janet and Ramon Barreto had a similar lifestyle and managed to stay on the run for nearly six years. It's kind of ironic since in Stoeser's episode, Charles Mozdir was the guy agents said might be living in the woods somewhere. The Marshals obviously want to get every guy on their top 15 List, but it seems they especially want Stoeser bad. The search has become frustrating though. So if anyone has any information even the littlest, call the Marshals, or better yet, call The Hunt so they can finally get direct capture #2! kxan.com/2014/10/28/sexual-predator-kevin-patrick-stoeser-still-loose-after-a-year/

So, we don't have to worry about Kevin Stoeser anymore, but I also can't move him to the captures section just yet. Confused? Good. I'll explain below. Fox's local Austin station is saying the Marshals are holding a press conference on Monday to announce a "closure into the investigation" for Stoeser. Although they or I for that matter don't know what that means, they are reporting that back in September a dog found a human skull that became part of a "multi-agency investigation." So this is speculation on my part but it sounds like that skull may be Stoeser's, meaning the first three fugitives ever profiled on The Hunt have wound up dead. This is beyond ridiculous, LOL. Also consider the guy profiled after Stoeser was Brad Bishop. Could you believe if the Alabama John Doe actually was Bishop? I'm not sure if The Hunt would get renewed as they'd be accused of some kind of witchcraft. So yeah I can't move Stoeser to the captures section just yet since we don't know what exactly what the Marshals will say on Monday, but once they do, whoever's online first, me or HeadMarshal will move it. I'm now beginning to question if anyone from The Hunt's first season is still alive anymore, LOL. www.myfoxaustin.com/story/27391659/us-marshals-to-announce-closure-of-the-investigation-of-fugitive-kevin-stoeser

Well, considering a human skull is found in the area Stoeser disappeared to right after he escaped that halfway house, I don't know. But I hope you're right and I'm wrong.

P.S. They said no signs of trauma. My guess is Stoeser succumbed to the elements in a place he wasn't very familiar with, but I guess we'll see.

P.P.S. Obviously can't be a direct result, although we don't currently know when Stoeser died exactly.

The good news is that Kevin Stoeser won't be able to ever harm another child again. This also means that there are five open spots on the USMS Most Wanted List, at this rate they could even contact us to suggest good cases for them.

I'm still wondering how the heck they're going to figure out his cause of death. There's no trauma to his skull according to news reports- yet that skull is all they could find. Lots of people are speculating and assuming someone "took care of him" but I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet. We've seen on AMW fugitives die all the time in random circumstances that weren't suicide or murder. William Komlo, an ex-NFL quarterback fleeing a bunch of DUI convictions died in a car crash in Greece in which he wasn't drunk. Others got diseases such as Dennis Lilly who died of pancreatic cancer. I'm very curious to hear what they say if they figure it out.

Interesting new article about Stoeser's body discovery, although we still don't know a cause of death. (This still might be graphic so I give advance warning) It says Stoeser's skull had turned brown and yellow thanks to time but also wind, rain, and the scorching Texas sun. It also says there were many creeks and fields nearby. I know most of us are just happy Stoeser is dead and can't harm anymore children. So it's not that I care THAT he died, but I am rather fascinated by the mystery of HOW he died. No signs of trauma makes suicide possibly unlikely. My gut instinct tells me it has something to do with the elements, especially based on the weather conditions mentioned in the article, but why then was only his skull found? I'm extremely curious if we learn a cause of death. We may never know how Stoeser died exactly. P.S. Just also had a rather weird observation: Shane Miller's dog was abandoned when he killed himself, Charles Mozdir was into bestiality and stole his girlfriend's dog while on the run, and now Stoeser's skull was found by a dog. Also keep in mind at the end of Brad Bishop's Hunt segment, one of the clues was that he "likes dogs." So The Hunt season 1 can be summed up as "dogs and deaths." www.fwweekly.com/2014/12/03/a-skull-and-a-bad-guy/

If only his skull was found, with no signs of trauma, then unless the rest of his body is found, I doubt we will ever discover the true cause of death.
As for why only his skull was found, I'm going assume wild animals probably ravaged his body and tore it apart. Then again, I'm not sure if the area is heavily populated by wildlife, but if there are wolves or coyotes in that area, they probably took care of the body.

Is it wrong if I hope ravaged by wild animals is also what killed him?
