A kidnapping at a local convenience store led to an arrest warrant being issued for a 46-year-old man, authorities said.
According to Bristol Township police, officers were called to the Wawa store at Route 13 and Green Lane on Saturday at about 11:15 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers interviewed a woman who stated that she had an argument with Richard L. Phillips, of Bristol, after meeting him at the Wawa. The altercation escalated when she attempted to leave, but Phillips put her to his vehicle, police said.
The woman told police that Phillips threatened her with a knife, warning he would kill her if she did not get in the vehicle, according to a statement.
The woman complied and was driven to Bristol Borough where she managed to escape, police said.
An arrest warrant on charges of on charges of kidnapping to inflict terror, false imprisonment, simple assault, terroristic threats, and harassment was issued on Thursday for Phillips.
Bristol Township police have asked anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact 9-1-1 immediately.

Thoughts? As of today’s posting date (May 10th, 2024), a search of Pennsylvania’s online criminal court records show still no events or arrests since complaints against Phillips were filed back on April 19th, 2024.
