Let me add a couple of points to this discussion.
- The FBI rotates the fugitives they show on their website all the time. Sometimes they may remove a fugitive if the Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution warrant has been dismissed without prejudice (either due to a lack of leads, age of the case, or the suspect can not be extradited). Sometimes, they just remove fugitives off their website, probably due to a lack or leads or the case just not being a publicity priority, even though the UFAP warrant is still active.
- Additionally, not all the fugitives that have UFAP warrants are on the websites for the FBI and the US Marshals. I've determined this through my research of PACER records. The FBI probably doesn't have the time to cover every single fugitive with an UFAP warrant.
- Also, we need to keep in mind that Andrew Dabbs is in his late 70s and may have had AIDS in the 1980s. The FBI may have added him to their website in 2018 at the request of either the victim's family, or local authorities in Massachusetts. I also feel that it's unlikely he's still alive and may have died in the 1980s. There's really no reason to be sure unfortunately, and that's what's frustrating with these situations.
- Finally, the case records would be handled by local investigators in Norton, Massachusetts. The only file the FBI would have, is the original UFAP warrant from 1982 which may have content from the original police report. However, PACER records don't go back that far in my experience so getting the original files for this case is extremely unlikely in my view.

In a twist of fate, Andrew Dabbs has been re-added to the FBI website, this time with a new age progressed image of what he looks like at age 78 and a reward of up to $20,000. I wonder what has prompted the FBI to remove him and subsequently re-add him to the website with a significant amount being offered for his capture, also no mention of him having HIV, so perhaps that was ruled out? www.fbi.gov/wanted/murders/andrew-p-dabbs

I doubt that’s because they now have evidence he is alive: the agent assigned to the case said she didn’t know whether he was alive or not.

If Dabbs is or was alive in the years following the murder, I speculate he likely went down south to Florida or west to Colorado to start a new life, especially since in the 1980s it was much easier before social media and how our society has been mass surveillance since 2001.

Since this is a popular YouTube channel I will move Dabba to the National Media Fugitives section.
