Case profile statistics as of July 18th, 2014: (Based on August 2007 amw.com archived profile, Arizona online court records): Aliases: John Coleman, David Howell, Ray Plemon, William Keller, William Taylor, Bubba Sex: Male Race: White Date of Birth: April 1946 Height: 5'8" Weight: 190 lbs Hair (Color, Description, Facial Hair): Brown. Plemons is somewhat balding Eyes (Color and Correction): Brown Other Physical Characteristics: Plemons has a small mole or birth mark on the right side of his forehead near the hairline. Who to call if you've seen him: As of September 8th, 2021, anyone with information on this fugitive's whereabouts can call or text "In Pursuit" on the Investigation Discovery channel at 833-378-7783 and/or submit a tip at the show's website: www.InPursuitTips.comWilliam Plemons is wanted for the murder of his wife in Arizona. He was aired between 2004 and 2009 on AMW and once again during the credits on the Lifetime Arizona episode. Plemons was in prison when he started pen pal relationships with several women. After being released, he started a relationship with one of the women named Ermalinda Macatangay and married her (despite being married to another woman). He would drain money out of her bank account and when Ermalinda found out about this, William killed her. The last decent lead came from his first AMW profile when a tipster led authorities to a stolen car found near an Orlando, Florida airport. Plemons was still smoking Marlboros, staying in cheap motels and eating fast food. Tipsters also placed him at a Moose Lodge in the area where he was acting bizarrely. So where do you guys think Plemons is now. He would be in his mid 60s, and considering that he smoked and used meth, he's probably not in the best shape health-wise. He could also be in the Philippines. Admin Note: If you have any news-related updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

I was actually planning on posting about Plemons at the end of this month since it would be the 10-year anniversary of Ermalinda's murder on June 24th, but nothing wrong with beating me to it and posting about him earlier. Not sure where he'd be except to say I'm surprised he's still on the run if he's still out there. Also curious if he's still introducing himself as Bubba if he is. Also, I surprisingly found a cached page of William Plemons' old AMW.COM full profile: 209.213.117.156:8080/cached.jsp?idx=0&id=316040

I found Plemons and his charges listed in Arizona court records with no court movement since 2003 basically confirming he is still at large as of this posting date (12/1/2017). Also, Plemons would be 71 years old as of this posting date as well. Doesn't seem like the most in shape guy but that's still a relatively young age for 2017. apps.supremecourt.az.gov/publicaccess/caselookup.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

With Plemons getting a profile on In Pursuit on September 8th (long overdue and I'm actually surprised he was never aired on The Hunt), I decided to look up Steven Dowd, Plemons' personal cab driver (who rightfully dropped him as a customer the day Plemons obviously did something sinister before getting into his vehicle). This was besides Yaser Said perhaps the most memorable re-enactment in AMW history for me- what matters most is getting justice for Ermalinda- but the re-enactment was so well done and memorable I actually know Dowd's name by memory. Anyway it appears that Dowd was possibly murdered himself. I stress the murder happened last year and has nothing to do with the Plemons manhunt at all, two men who had worked on Dowd's house killed him at a warehouse he was intermittently living on during the renovation... but it says Steven Dowd age 64 and I remember he looked like early 50-ish 12 years ago and Tempe is a suburb of Arizona... it could be coincidence and not to put pressure on him but I sent some links to pakman to double check since I know his memory of AMW cases is even better than me- but I doubt it's coincidence and at least for me this seems like the same person. May Dowd rest in peace if it was him (and regardless may this man rest in peace). www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/tempe-breaking/2020/09/14/steven-lojek-arrested-matthew-anderson-outstanding-tempe-killing-steven-dowd/5773079002/

God, I hope that wasn’t him.
I know he had turned his life around and it would be just such a cruel ending if it was indeed him.

Unfortunately everything is matching up- yes it appears Dowd himself had his own jail troubles and turned his life around, but inmate records show a Steven H Dowd and there's something from 2020 about the estate of Steven Hamilton Dowd. I guess we'd find out for sure on the In Pursuit airing itself. www.publicpolicerecord.com/arizona/doc-prisoner/STEVEN_DOWD/048020publicnotices.azcapitoltimes.com/search/detail.aspx?detail=11472600

Just saw the episode on Discovery Plus- pretty much the same as AMW clues but one new possible alias of Johnny Lee Taylor. (No mention of the Moose Lodge sighting though ).
There is also no mention of Steven Dowd although I'm like 95 percent sure that the man murdered last year is unfortunately him.
However, there is one aspect to the In Pursuit re-enactment that is shockingly completely different from the AMW re-enactment so there will be something new for those of you who watch tonight. It ranks right up there with when we found out Dan Hiers' alleged molestation victim was actually an African-American girl on The Hunt when the AMW re-enactment made her appear white.

Ok the west coast airing has finished so here's the big reveal:
Not only did not they mention Steven Dowd but they interviewed a different person who claimed to be Plemons' cab driver! This time a woman named Liza Hoyt claimed to be his personal driver and mentioned all the stuff Dowd did- call me Bubba, etc... She so mentions him acting weird and making frequent ATM stops and asking if he's a bank robber. And then mentions one night when he seemed to want her to stay in the cab and then finally admitted to her he killed his wife and asked her if she wanted to know how he did it.
In fairness this all sounds like post-Ermalinda's murder while the AMW re-enactment it seemed Dowd drive Bubba around weeks before he allegedly killed Ermalinda- so it is possible both Steve and Liza were drivers of Plemons (Steve did tell Bubba he'd have to find a new driver after all) but the fact that AMW never mentioned Liza and In Pursuit never mentioned Steve is confusing.
At least we know he did take for-hire vehicles and it could still be a possible clue even 18 years later.

I surprisingly didn't see a UFAP (unlawful flight to avoid prosecution) warrant when I searched for Plemons in PACER. Interesting I saw two cases from the 80s in Arkansas (Pulaski County) and California (San Francisco) against a William Ray Plemons although it doesn't stand what the charges are. If it is the same guy they mention aliases of Roy Winston and Ray Brown. It seems his first major trouble in the law was when he was an accomplice in holding up a Savings and Loans Association in Albuquerque, New Mexico but was arrested in Oklahoma three days later. It also mentions something about him claiming to have nothing to do with the robbery and that he only confessed to am FBI agent to avoid being tried in Texas. Finally, Plemons appears to have spent time in Leavenworth prison in Kansas as well so as we can see he's been wanted all over the place and in my opinion really could be anywhere in the U.S. or abroad. law.justia.com/cases/federal/appellate-courts/F2/455/243/168260/

Also the costs add up so I don't want to search too much but I believe it said Roy Winston but just in case since his middle name is Ray, Ray Winston is a possible alias as well.

They had forensic evidence he was in Florida when AMW tips pointed there. There is plenty of evidence he fled Arizona.

They did a good job for the most part (although the different cab driver thing really came out of left field), but I was surprised In Pursuit didn't mention the Moose Lodge sighting in Florida.
