Around 12:05 am on Sept 11, 1985, Detroit authorities say John Miller and an accomplice entered an apartment room. Miller hit the 62-year old occupant with a handgun, tied him up and ransacked the apartment. Both Miller and his accomplice were arrested but Miller posted bond and fled in November of 1985.

Thoughts? I found out about this case through a 1990 news posting on newspapers.com. Back in the early 1990s, the Detroit Free Press would regularly feature local fugitives in the newspaper. I went and checked the Wayne County Court Records and carefully went over the reference for this case, and found that there has been no activity since 1985. It also says the status is "warrant" which I determined to mean that John Miller is unfortunately still at large as of this posting date. (12/17/2016).
