Actually I think they might have them listed there because that's when they were originally scheduled. In any case that episode seems to have been bumped back to an unknown date (presumably switched with the Patel/Figueroa episode but I guess we'll see)

Did anyone catch Callahan Walsh on HLN talking about The Hunt. My father had me come down so I didn't miss it. He referenced Dino Curcio's capture and Sunday's profile of Pablo Pinto Mata.

I've seen clips previously of him discussing Curcio's capture the week it happened. Didn't see the new interview though. Callahan seems to be becoming more of a presence on tv! |

Considering how complex tonight's story was, The Hunt did a great job weaving the multiple terrible things Mata allegedly did together into one episode. Lots of people questioned the Hunt's sometimes one fugitive a format at first but quite frankly it could have been a two hour episode.
This is also without taking anything away with what a terrible fugitive Mata is, perhaps one of the most bizarre episodes if not the most bizarre episode to date with the santeria aspect and all the weird rituals as a result of Mata's alleged sick perversions (frigging cutting the head off a chicken and spilling it's blood over his nude teenage victim? Pardon my language but what a sick mother f*****). It's one of those that you can't believe happened in real life episodes but obviously there is strong evidence to show these things did in fact happen.
Might be tough if he's in another country but Mata needs to be located and extradited if so. Even better if he's till in the states.

I want to stress my forum position as the assistant commissioner, I look at these crime case threads daily and have become hardened to the horrible acts that society is capable of. The episode last night on Pablo Pinto Mata really, really struck a nerve with me and I had to unwind myself and calm down after the episode. If someone's alleged crimes can make that happen, then The Hunt really did that episode justice. For all the wrong reasons, that was one of the best episodes of The Hunt. I really hope they can make Pablo a direct capture.

Anyone else feel "spoiled" by the capture of Dino Curcio? I know it doesn't work that way even when The Hunt was on CNN but I want another capture already even though in reality it's only been a few weeks since their last one lol.

Nevermind see on same page they have a clip for "friend allegedly murders his roommate"- they don't show Henry Nunez-Godinez's face or mention him by name, but it's obviously the case based on victim and description of crime scene.

Anyone else notice in the Bonness profile they did when they talked about the victim's mother having four jobs that they seemed to re-show the fast food re-enactment footage that they used for the Megan Everett episode? Not complaining about it, but just a small detail some others might not have caught onto. Obviously, Bonness is a huge creep that needs to be captured immediately.
Also, I hope we don't get more ignorant complaints on social media about subtitles being used for an episode in regards to Henry Nunez-Godinez profile. The only thing I will give is perhaps having an english voice or dub over in addition to subtitle translation could be a good idea for future seasons.

Last night was a well done episode. It really enforced why David Bonness is a disgusting scumbag and how much pain and suffering Henry Nunez-Godinez caused. I am so glad David's victim found a decent guy and he has been able to help her out through the past several years. You don't get too many teenage boys like him anymore.

This reminds me next week there will be no new episode and there will be a Hunt marathon instead- not officially stated but seems obvious this is because it will be the labor day holiday weekend.
Actually good we get a the reruns a bit more play.
I wish CNN would replay the new HLN episodes on the weekends occasionally. (obviously this weekend would have been impossible with Hurricane Harvey coverage but if it's a slow news weekend)

This Sunday interestingly enough will mark the first ever Sunday where The Hunt will compete against Sunday night football/football in general.
Perhaps this explains the move to 8 PM since there will be plenty of game left even after it's over. (I'm a football fan but Hunt comes first lol).
Will be interesting to see how the ratings go. As previously said, the ratings are down because they're on a lesser watched network but by HLN standards they seem to be doing ok. That "Something's Killing Me" show that's on after it seems to get even better ratings but in fairness The Hunt is their lead-in and they have a better time slot at 9 PM.
Wish they didn't have to put the fugitive wanted out of Newark on the same week the Giants are on Sunday night football though. Only because if he's still in the area, there may be less locals watching because they're Giants fans and watching the game.
Lamont Stephenson was still my pre-season prediction (football terms lol) for most likely Hunt direct capture though because I feel hes recognizable enough and likely still in the states unlike other fugitives. (I actually feel oddly confident about Elton Jardones as well for some reason but it's just a gut feeling as opposed to anything else.)

One thing that will be interesting to see is if Hurricane Irma coverage affects CNN's programming on Sunday,
The Hunt should be assumed to be safe from interruption since although HLN is technically a news channel, it's not the run the same way CNN is, and the whole reason they moved to HLN was because CNN's breaking news coverage kept interrupting it.
But if Irma coverage pre-empts CNN's Sunday night programming (I guess it depends on if it's as bad as expected), it should make us even more thankful The Hunt is on a new network now as if it was on CNN at this time it might not have been shown on Sunday. (Saying nothing about CNN and the great years they had on it).

Actually checked and CNN ALREADY has Irma coverage with Anderson Cooper planned for Sunday. And perhaps they had no new programming planned anyway. It's just in theory The Hunt could have been on CNN and it would have been delayed.  |

Some thoughts on the episode:
-I hate to call a case "interesting" but Lamont Stephenson profile was well-done in playing up the mystery angle when it came to Lamont Stephenson. He was apparently a quiet guy in high school and somewhat of a nerd and had only six people on his wedding invitee list. He's described as friendly and mild-mannered at work. Obviously, the brutal crime he's accused of suggests a darker side to him. Plenty of Facebook photos shown to possibly identify him and a video of him speaking as well which is good.
Also, this is a weird juxtaposition here. Usually the shy quiet nerdy type is the safe guy, and the girl makes the mistake of going for the bad boy. This is a rare case where the opposite happened- the woman usually goes for the bad boy and went for the nerd instead and was murdered as a result.
-I was a bit confused by the voice-over actress in the profile on Elton Jardines describing the gas station incident. Was she relaying a friend who was too afraid to speak on camera or was it a narration done for re-enactment purposes? I'll have to re-watch later.
-Although Jardines hasn't been caught yet, I admire Marshal Nunez's dedication and it gave a sense of hope.
-As a matter of fact, I think this is the first time it has happened in a while where in an episode with two fugitives I thought to myself BOTH fugitives are very catchable and could be caught within the week. I don't want to get my hopes up. As we've seen on AMW and The Hunt, sometimes a guy or girl we thought would be a tough catch gets caught in a day, while others take surprisingly longer, but this episode left me with an odd feeling of optimism after both cases that I hope is justified.
(Actually, compared to past seasons, even though they've only had one capture so far, they're picking pretty good cases when it comes to catchability. I felt part of the problem from season 3 was half of them seemed like they could possibly be dead already and the other half were likely in Mexico or elsewhere)
