(Above photo credit: Texas Department of Public Safety website) Yolanda Herrera (23 years of age) was a single female, having been recently divorced. She was an only child. Yolanda was last seen in the early morning hours of Saturday, 04-11-1981, leaving a bar called Johnny's Inn in Universal City. Yolanda was last seen walking from the bar. On Monday, 04-13-1981, her nude body was discovered in a field near the 500 block of East Aviation Drive. An autopsy determined her manner of death to be homicide due to multiple injuries. Evidence suggests she was sexually assaulted prior to her death. Based on investigating agencies, it is advised to contact the Texas Rangers at 1-800-346-3243 if you have any information regarding this case.

There's a possibility that Yolanda's killer has since died but if he's still alive, then he needs to spend the rest of his life in jail for what he did in 1981. www.dps.texas.gov/TexasRangers/UnsolvedHomicides/Details.aspx?&id=77

I hope there is some sort of DNA evidence that can one day link a killer to this case.
