Haha, well it's sort of like in the comics books as you're interested in catching bad guys while Castillo is the bad guy (allegedly) so I guess he's your evil twin. In all seriousness, while most fugitives aren't caught in a day in Mexico, I'm pretty confident Castillo is a very catchable fugitive. He has a relatively common look, but probably still youthful enough to stand out.

Castillo is catchable but he’s part of an age range that is very unsuspecting, 18 and 19 years old. Also this age range is very vulnerable because drug cartels want to hire kids this age and that’s the only fear because that means getting him would be harder. Again, Castillo using social media would be what does him in.

Like I said previously in the thread, Castillo is basically a teenager, and no offense to you, but younger people are usually not as adept at going on the run, and haven't developed the necessary street smarts yet. If Castillo is somehow still on the run five years from now, it isn't because he's some sort of criminal genius, but because he had help, whether it be from a friend, family member, or drug cartel or whatever. I think Castillo himself as a young man in Mexico, perhaps that's what you're getting at, should actually fear for his safety and the FBI capturing him could be the best thing to happen to him, since as a young man in a country with lots of cartel violence, he could wind up getting killed as a result. If this so-called family member was really as protective of him as the article implies, they'd encourage Castillo to turn himself in, where he'd be safer behind bars awaiting trial, than in a country that he's not from with lots of violence. It's also theoretically possible Castillo is in Arizona where he has family ties. It would theoretically be easier to capture him if he was there but also more likely older and street-wiser adults would be helping him hide where he may be a bit more on his own in Mexico.

However I’m curious if the family member that is conversing with him through Facebook is in the U.S. or in Mexico and how long have they been conversing with each other?

Not sure, I assume that information being public might impede the search.

I’m appalled at how well Mexican media works sometimes, as news stations in Aguascalientes and Veracruz have reported extensively on this case when he was first added to the FBI Top Ten.

Are you saying they should have reported sooner or that they didn't go a good enough job of continuing reporting or both?
I'm assuming you mean the latter, but sadly that happens in America too- a lead comes in a fugitive may be somewhere and news outlets are all over it for the first few days, and then it goes back in the media cycle.

They did a very great job in reporting Castillo’s case as they reported it from stations in Aguascalientes and Veracruz where he may be.

Oh, I got confused since you said appalled which usually means disgusted lol. I meant to use the word astonished but my autocorrect changed it to appalled.

In any case, now that I know you were actually praising the Mexican media, good on them for the extensive reporting lol. Hopefully they keep at it, as in America at least that extensive reporting often fades away.

Oh, autocorrect strikes again lol. That damn autocorrect lol. But the news stations in the respective areas I mentioned do a great job of notifying the public on what he’s done so a parent can be cautious in case Castillo may be dating someone.

Castillo has been on the Top Ten for 1 Month now unfortunately. One month isn't that long imo. It's easy for me to say if I'm not a family member of a victim, but in general he's still on par with other FBI top ten fugitives who were believed to be in Mexico.
