Pretty crazy. Was watching the Robert Stack Unsolved Mysteries repeats on Amazon Prime when they had a breaking news alert for prison escapee Richard Lee McNair. This was a 1992 episode. Those of us AMW fans remember when he escaped again in 2006, they profiled him before he was eventually indirectly captured in New Brunswick, Canada in 2007. I knew he was a multiple-time prison escapee, but I didn't know he had aired on Unsolved Mysteries as an escapee 14 years before AMW would profile him after his second escape!
He's now in Supermax in Florence, Colorado, so while with a guy like him, you never say never, I feel fairly confident based on that we have thankfully finally heard the last of him.

I somehow missed the light show in NYC tonight. (There was a transformer fire in Queens that lit up the sky). I say it was UFOs! The truth is out there, and this forum will get to the bottom of this and recruit Mulder and Scully if we have to!  |

912th am I getting that up there in age or are you younger and more of a millenial than I thought that you didn't get the X-Files reference? C'mon dude! (No offense to toptenhunter and HeadMarshal who are also millennials. And I am a technical millenial but barely). |

Chronologically, I was born in late '990, but physically, psychiatrically, culturally, and emotionally, I have more in common with a child 16 and under. It's why I add '002 to my last name when I write it down. Even so, the reason why I didn't understand the X-Files callback is because I'm inordinately well-versed in cinema history and just as poorly versed in TV history. |

Happy new year to everyone! Also just a note to any outside forum readers (as I know most of our frequent posters here know better ) to please don't drink and drive tonight. We've seen too many AMW/Hunt cases of irresponsible drunk drivers causing tragedies. There's nothing wrong with going out and having a good time and hey it's new years get drunk if you want to lol but make sure you have a designated driver and/or you take a taxi or ridesharing app home. (If you dont live near public transportation). Happy 2019 everyone! |

Also for those that don’t drink, keep your eyes peeled if you see anyone swerving suddenly on the road and also be careful at stop lights since sometimes other drivers don’t stop. But all and all let’s hope for a an In Pursuitacular year filled with captures and a lot of cold cases being solved. |

Excited for the NFL playoffs this weekend as they all look like good games and any team can win any one of them (usually the games are predictably one-sided).
This is one of the rare times I actually miss communicating with whatshisface because as much as I love all of you no one physically on the forum seems to care about sports lol. (Also when member Robbie was here he talked sports, but he seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth.)

Kind of surreal that Sears may soon go completely out of business. While some have positive nostalgia about the store, us AMW fans know Sears is the store where Adam Walsh was abducted by Ottis Toole (in Hollywood, Florida). That Sears is now gone, and reportedly replaced by a Target.
I don't think John Walsh is going to celebrate, his son was more precious than what happens to a store, just I find it odd that so much has changed in the past 35-plus years since that horrible sequence of events.
