November 13, 1999 (590 fugitives captured to date)_from Sedona, AZ
Kyle Bell - Was convicted of the 1993 murder of Jeanna North, a 10 year old girl from Fargo, ND. He escaped and authorities are looking to re-arrest him. (This is a child murderer and child rapist, so John understandably hates this guy very much).
Sycamore Jane Doe - Remains of an unknown pregnant woman were found. Attempting to find her identity.
Update: Shooters of Officer Dale Claxton - A second shooter has been found dead, just Jason McVean remains.
Update: Seattle Shipyard shooter - Sketch produced in the case of a man who shot at many people in a Seattle shipyard, killing two.
Eric Charles Grant - And other members of the "Trash Can Gang" are wanted for burglaries in which they smash jewelry cases and store the loot in trash cans. They operated in the southeast.
Juan Saucedo - Shot at 3 people in a drive-by. He was aiming for his ex and her new boyfriend, however he killed the innocent 3rd person in the car.
Donnie & Sean Getches (sp?) - Two brothers in their late teens/early 20's who were gunned down in their house. Suspects and motives unknown. I believe this happened in TN.
Update: - "The Black Widow Of Vegas" Margaret Rudin has been captured. John Walsh mentions there will be a lengthier update during their Vegas show next week.
Craig Pritchert & Nova Guthrie - "Bonnie and Clyde" type bandits are wanted for bank robberies.
Mikelle Biggs - Another airing, no new info presented.
Errol Thompson - Is wanted for attempted murder.
Update: Civil War Bandit - California bank robber has been identified Charles Bordon. Some less-than-intelligent viewers called in believing he was wrestling's "The Big Boss Man", aka Ray Traylor, who died in 2004.
Okay, Ray Traylor was actually a very nice guy despite playing a bad guy for part of his wrestling career. I saw him wrestle in person once back when he was feuding with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. He was one of my favorite wrestlers, so seeing him in 1990 was a huge thrill for me. I was 10 years old at the time.
Also, the lack of AZ cases in this episode is baffling. Whenever they do an episode on location, usually that cities cases would take up a good portion of the show, but here it's next-to-nothing. Mikelle Biggs is here, but it's a quick blurb and nothing new is offered. I'm sure there must have been Arizona cases they could have covered here. Weird.

There were a couple on-location episodes where they didn't do very many local cases. According to Pakman's episode guide, a 2004 episode filmed in Chicago comes to mind. The Sycamore Canyon Jane Doe case is a really unusual one and it's unsolved to this day: amwfans.com/thread/569/sycamore-canyon-jane-arizona-1995

I visited Chicago in 1998. Great town. For as big of a city as it is, there aren't a lot of high-profile crimes that have occurred there throughout the years. That's not to say there isn't crime there, there is, but not a lot of cases that wind up on shows like these. Probably the 2 most high-profile ones from Chi-town are Helen Brach (although one could argue that's more of a Minnesota case) and the painkiller murders from the 80's. That was a really weird one. Both are still unsolved and Helen Brach has never been found. November 20, 1999 (591 fugitives caught to date) from Las Vegas, NV
John Harris - Las Vegas cab driver murdered shortly after 3 a.m. after dropping off his last fares for the evening. (Lance Burton introduces this segment) Update: Margaret Rudin - Lengthened update on the capture of the "Black Widow Of Vegas". (AMW profiled her 10 times) Low riders brothers - Another airing. John Walsh meets the Commodores! John Walsh profiles several missing children: Karla Rodriguez - www.charleyproject.org/cases/r/rodriguez_karla_carolina.htmlTeekah Lewis - Bizarre one: www.charleyproject.org/cases/l/lewis_teekah.htmlLorenzo Yacarini - Boy who went missing with his mother. Lorenzo's father had recently escaped from jail and the mother (Orzella) was afraid of him. (Lorenzo was eventually found safe, the fate of the parents remains unknown.) Rose Marie Camacho - Girl is missing and her mother was murdered. www.charleyproject.org/cases/c/camacho_rosa.htmlOpal Jennings - Update that Richard Lee Franks has been convicted in this case. Dr. Michael Swango - Physician known as "Dr.Death" who may have killed upwards of 60 patients, making him one of the most prolific serial killers in the history of the country. (Also profiled on Unsolved Mysteries) Jon Schilleci - is wanted for molesting a 5 year old boy. Update: Christopher Rawlings - Young and successful man, husband and father of 2 was killed in California while returning home one evening. The perps later robbed his house while his family was still inside. The perps caught numerous breaks and got away, but Corell Taylor was linked and arrested. Still searching for his accomplice Boris George Graham.

Jon Schilleci was added to the FBI's 10 Most Wanted list in 2007 and was later arrested in 2008. Boris George Graham became a direct capture of AMW in 2004. AMW did several episodes in Las Vegas over the years, including many of their "Bad Girls" (Female fugitive focused) shows.

Oh wow, I didn't know that about Jon Schilleci.
Sadly, most of the missing children from that broadcast are still missing or otherwise didn't meet a good fate.

April 17, 1999 (most of episode)
Update: Yosemite killings - Informant comes forward and states that meth users in the area are responsible for the killings of 3 females at Yosemite National Park (this would turn out to be a bogus lead. Cary Stayner was eventually tied to the killings. He was working maintenance at a local motel. ironically, he is the brother of Steven Stayner, who was abducted and sexually abused for years. He eventually broke free from his captors and took with him another boy they had just picked up. Sadly, Steven died in a motorcycle accident some years after).
Francia Rodriguez - Girl who is missing and her mother murdered.
Augustin Salazar - Wisconsin man is wanted for beating his months-old son within an inch of his life.
Update: Madalyn Murray O'Hair - Update on this famous case, profiled on at least a half-dozen shows. (The bodies of Madalyn, Jon Murray and Robin were found not long after this. David Waters, former office manager for American Atheists, was tied to the killings and put in prison where he died. He became enraged after Madalyn fired him for stealing and spoke out about some of his criminal activities in the American Atheists newsletter. This was on a previous ep I have, but I forgot to write it down and I don't remember which episode it was.)
Update: Lance Bedgood - Authorities state that Bedgood, who murdered a Sunday school teacher, is not dead as they had thought, but is alive after a witness placed him in Texas.
Update: William Bradford Bishop - John Walsh discusses numerous tips that came in about Bishop.
James Bennett - Creepy pedophile who molested his own children.
Ray Greene Jr. - Ultra-quick profile of this man, wanted out of Alexandria, VA.

Augustin Salazar is still at large. That episode was his only profile on AMW: americasmostwanted.freeforums.net/thread/763Lance Bedgood: As you can tell from the Jan 14, 1990 episode he was first aired on, AMW had been looking for him for a very long time. He's still at large. amwfans.com/thread/248/lance-bedgood-texas-1987James Bennett: Another longtime fugitive. First aired I believe in 1995 and was on the show's first ever most wanted list. A viewer tip led to his capture in 2001. James died in prison in 2009.

I didn't recognize Lance Bedgood's name until I saw his victim's name: Opal Zacharias. That was also on Unsolved Mysteries. It occurred very late in its run, in late 2002, in fact, it was one of the last segments they ever aired out of 1,500 or so.

Michael Barrera - is wanted for shooting at cops and robbing banks.
Update: Opal Jennings - Grandparents of Opal Jennings travel to Arkansas where they attend a support group of parents of missing children. Colleen Nick, mother of Morgan Nick, consoles them. (Morgan Nick was profiled on Unsolved Mysteries).
Segment on how Amber Hagerman's brutal killing inspired the Amber Alert system and how useful it is.
Capture: Randolph Biernat - Child molester, who molested his own daughter, has been re-arrested. He had been living in Canada and was coaching a boys sports team.
Rachel Newhouse & Audria Crawford - Quickie blurb about how Rex Allen Krebs is suspected of the murders of these two college students.
Larry Chism - Committed a whole host of crimes in the 70's including hijacking a plane. He has been arrested several times, but has escaped police custody each time.
Michael Petro - young man is missing and presumed to be in danger.
Tina Blunt - Woman from Bakersfield, CA area disappeared while driving to work. Her body was found a week later. Searching for answers.

May 1, 1999 (563 fugitives caught to date)
Lots of interesting cases this episode. Let's get to 'em.
Tina Cornelius - Young woman who worked as a stripper disappeared with her two young children. She later resurfaced while her children turned up dead near a creek, having been neglected. She later gave a statement that said she left the children in the creek, and showed up to work the next night happy. Authorities now realize she is guilty.
Update: Rex Allen Krebs - Authorities announce Krebs is suspected of murdering Audria Crawford and Rachel Newhouse, whose bodies have since turned up, and that he is not a suspect in the disappearance of Kristin Smart.
William McCandless - repeat segment on the man wanted for crimes in the horse-racing industry.
Update: Mac Buckley - has surrendered to police.
Jill Dando - Hostess of Crimewatach UK (the British equivalent to AMW) has been murdered, with many suspects mentioned. Jill helped catch over 600 criminals and John takes this loss personally, saying she was a member of the family, and that Crimewatch had been on the air way longer than AMW and was a predecessor to AMW.
Chong Wok Hung - Very beloved store owner in South Central Los Angeles (Van Nuys?) was murdered near opening time on 2/3/99. She frequently assisted those too poor to buy groceries and was loved by all groups living in the area (a police officer can be seen crying at her casket). Pablo Hernandez, the getaway driver, was arrested, and now police are searching for Juan Ramon Carlos, whose real name might be Eladio Roman, in association with this.
James Bohanna - Is wanted for shooting a cop near Kansas City, MO and has a lengthy and varied rap sheet.
Jolene Riendau - Girl from Montreal, Quebec is missing.
Serguie Tcharouchine - Is wanted for running a Russian sex slavery ring in the U.S.
John Slarb - Adult man is missing out of Waldorf, MD.
Luis Lopez - Is wanted for questioning in a Coral Gables, FL murder.

Juan Ramon Carlos is still at large. I didn't realize he got a large profile like that. Thank you for mentioning the alias of Pablo Hernandez, I'll add that to his thread. amwfans.com/thread/2112/juan-ramon-carlos-california-1999

I have a handful of Crimewatch UK episodes, I could add descriptions for those after I get finished with this AMW set, if anyone is interested.

Correction: Police believe Juan Ramon Carlos's real name might be"Eladio Roman". Pablo Hernandez was the name of the getaway driver, who was arrested. My apologies for the mistake, sometimes this show throws so many names at you so quickly it's hard to keep up.
