I made a post on our Facebook page encouraging people to submit cases we can profile on here (all one has to do is register and post their case, but if they'd rather be a silent observer I can post a case for them). I also mentioned to google the cases alongside amwfans.com to make sure they weren't on here already. Got a bunch of requests for cases that were already on this website. *sigh*

Here's a new one. Those of you know we now have a link for people to send us private messages outside the site. Now this was accidentally on purpose- but the past few AMW or non-tv captures we've had- I purposely hadn't taken edited out the post that says send us info if you have any updates because for my own amusment I wanted to see if anyone would be dumb enough to let us know the fugitive was captured- even though we updated that they were captured. I was curious and wanted to experiment. Sure enough, someone just e-mailed me to let me know Matthew Dion was captured. Yeah, not like we had a Captured with an exclamation point, and had him in the captures section. So a summary of reading skills on this site- The registration box has "you must put why you're registering in order to be approved" with a gazillion exclamation points- by my count, only about four out of every ten people bother to do so. And when a fugitive is captured and we put captured, put them in the captures section, and post that they're captured, people e-mail us to let us know the fugitive was captured. *sigh* I shall take out the send us info link for Dion now lol.

As mentioned in the upcoming thread, John Walsh announced The Hunt season 2's return on his official Facebook and nearly EVERY comment is bring back AMW.
Look, is The Hunt a better show than AMW? I would say it's still an awesome show but technically no. (It's better than the late 2009-2011 years on Fox, perhaps slighlty better than the year on Lifetime, but not better compared to all of AMW's years combined. Maybe it will be after it has a chance to be on for a while like AMW was).
Do I wish they showed more fugitives? Yes.
Do I wish they had more than 8 and now 16 episodes? Yes. Although for a CNN show, 16 episodes is actually a lot.
However, AMW was CANCELLED, because of Fox and their license fees (and partly because of moderate ratings success on Lifetime) and through no fault of Walsh's own.
The Hunt is what we have to work with and while not AMW is still a very good sow. There are less fugitives, but the victims of those fugitives still need you to watch it. Unless you have a billion dollars to bring AMW back, STFU, watch The Hunt, and support it.

Ok here's a new one, saw a guy on Twitter complain that Dateline NBC was better than The Hunt because he didn't "like the fact that the episodes end without the bad guy being caught."
That's the whole freaking point of the show dumbass!

That's the whole freaking point of the show dumbass! I think there have been a couple of Dateline episodes that focused on an unsolved case so the complete idiot's comment makes even less sense.

As a matter of fact, Dateline once did an hour on Jason Derek Brown, who of course was still at large at the end of the episode.

CNN now has a post on their Facebook Page about The Hunt promo trailer. Someone decided to comment and complain about Donald Trump on it.

Yeah, I mean regardless of whether you like Trump or not, that was completely off-topic. (Technically speaking.)

John Walsh is ready to answer comments on CNN's Facebook Page.
People are still asking if America's Most Wanted is on. *sigh*

CNN is covering the story of a Massachusetts Baby Doe that's made national headlines. (It's not on my case schedule yet, so anyone else can feel free to make a thread if they want) They've had John Walsh on talking about the case and I've seen multiple people complain that they're "exploiting the tragedy" to promote The Hunt. A) The Hunt debuts this SUNDAY. So Walsh would have been on CNN anyway promoting the show regardless of what the current story in the news was. B) Other CNN personalities have been on CNN shows: Here's Mike Rowe on Erin Burnett- outfront.blogs.cnn.com/2014/10/08/mike-rowe-follow-your-passion-is-bad-advice/Here's Anthony Bourdain on Anderson Cooper- firstwefeast.com/eat/bourdain-anderson-cooper-360-korean-chefs-rule-the-food-world/C) Network personalities promoting themselves on other shows is nothing new. If you watch CBS, NBC, or ABC, you can bet the networks will make sure their sitcom, drama stars will sit down for an interview with Jimmy Fallon or (when he was still on the air) David Letterman or which ever late night host shares the same network. D) Most importantly, Walsh has stated you can call The Hunt with TIPS on Baby Doe. He has caught over 1,200 fugitives and over 50 missing persons/children. So unlike the other talking heads on tv networks, he actually has the power to do something. I am really sick of this isht. I know this was supposed to be an annoying fan comment thread and now it's turning into a hater comment thread but I want to state this again. -JOHN WALSH WOULD TAKE BACK ALL THE MONEY HE'S EVER EARNED IF IT MEANT HE WOULD HAVE HIS SON BACK.- Walsh was ALREADY a successful hotel executive when Adam disappeared. He had a good career and didn't need the money. He didn't even want to do AMW at first and was begged into it. He became the host because of the good he realized he could do. All the "profit" he's made- he would give back if it meant getting Adam back. -JOHN WALSH IS ENTITLED TO HIS OPINIONS ON GUN CONTROL.- Even I don't agree with all of John Walsh's opinions on gun control. For example, I think putting microchips in guns is a bit much. However, I somehow have the ability to respect someone even when I disagree with them. I somehow have the ability to respect John Walsh for all the good he's done. Some of what he says makes sense- some of his opinions on gun control I don't agree with- but his heart is in the right place. He's trying to come up with a solution to end violence. Disagree with the solution, but to hate a person and want to boycott a person because he has an opinion is ironically contradictory with your complaints about your freedoms being taken away. OK. Rant over.

John Walsh posted on Facebook about Yaser Said being featured tomorrow night. Most replies were reasonable as well as the old "we want AMW back" ones being present.
Someone decided to post an article about the Ku Klux Klan holding a rally outside the South Carolina capitol protesting the removal of the Confederate Flag. That has what to do with The Hunt exactly?

I think it's a matter of short attention spans. The comments on CNN are even worse when it comes to not staying on-topic. And the off-topic comments on the FBI's Facebook are flat out bizarre. They'll make a post "Help catch this bank robber who's held up several banks across the Midwest" and someone will comment some strange thing like "Hey FBI, how come you don't investigate who keeps stealing my cheese sandwiches! Could it be aliens from outer space and you're trying to cover it up?!"

New one. A poster wanting JW to include the fugitive's age, height and weight to the Facebook posts when responding to the Tomas Gonzalez post. This despite the same post having a caption picture of Gonzalez with his age, height and weight.

This next post revolves around Megan Everett being affiliated with a group known as the "Virginian Flaggers" who supposedly like the Confederate Flag. Already I'm seeing signs of people arguing on John Walsh's Facebook page about the Confederate Flag.

P.S. There's no way around it, the Confederate flag represents slavery. They can talk about state pride all they want. If they want to put it on their front porch or whatever, fine. It's their freedom of speech. But it has no business flying around state government headquarters and South Carolina was right to remove it from theirs. Other Southern states should follow suit.
As someone is half-Jewish, I can say it's essentially the black equivalent of seeing a Nazi flag.
