Got another person complaining to us about the "huge" ad for John Walsh on HLN during programming on a post explaining we're not connected to The Hunt or John Walsh.
I've actually watched other programs on HLN and as much as the Hunt is my favorite show, I don't necessarily disagree the ad could be downsized a little. ITS JUST WHAT PART OF OUR POST EXPLAINING WE'RE NOT THE HUNT OR HLN OR CNN DO YOU INABILITY TO READ IDIOTS NOT EFFING GET!

It feels like at this rate that if we had a dollar every time someone said we were affiliated with AMW/The Hunt, we would be really rich, lol.

I understand we have a photo of John Walsh as our profile photo so in fairness that can be part of the cause of confusion- but duh, he's the host of the show, it's the only appropriate photo to put on a fan page. But the word "unofficial" is in the title and while obviously I can't clarify in every post since it would get repetitive it seems the posts where I explain we're not connected is the ones where somehow we get the MOST comments from people thinking we're The Hunt. Like it's never just a general "hey guys, make sure to watch The Hunt" post but "Hey guys, just a reminder we're not The Hunt" post where we get the comments. Like the more I go out of my way to explain we're not the Hunt more it backfires on me lol.
There are so many times where I debate deleting our social media presences and only having this website since Facebook people are so frigging annoying, but for the reasons I already stated it's basically a necessary evil and also obviously considering the subject matter of the show there's much more serious/important things in life than being annoyed by Facebook posters (but I still like to complain here just to let off steam lol).

On John Walsh's official Facebook page, some people were complaining about the Pablo Mata episode because they had to READ subtitles.
One guy was just being an a-hole racist but others seemed to just be annoyed that they had to watch and read at the same time. The state of education in our country.
In fairness, perhaps having a translator in the background telling the words in English might be a good idea for future episodes, but this just sounds to me like for the most part a bunch of lazy and/or racist dumbasses.

Agreed completely. I feel some people still don't understand English is not a universally spoken language globally. It is very easy to read subtitles unless you have vision problems of course. |

Because we're still getting all sorts of messages, I attempted to change the name of both the AMW and The Hunt pages on Facebook to stress- disclaimer-not actual show, for some reason they approved America's Most Wanted Fans but not The Hunt! Which is obviously the more popular one I run at the moment. And now because of the recent request, apparently I can't re-request for the time being, however long that time span shall be. So they changed the name of the one I gave a crap less about changing the name. ugh.
This is very frustrating, I've had people contact me claiming life or death emergencies because they think I'm John Walsh no matter how hard I try to say I'm not, it's not a matter of not caring but that as an average citizen who SHOULD NOT be handling things like that since it is not what I do for a living and it's best left for experts and law enforcements, I'd rather not feel responsible for a serious situation because someone can't read the word "unofficial"
i guess I'll try again until I can change the name. I'm sure I'll still get the messages anyway, but at least it will be even more painstakingly obvious.

The amount of people that can't tell the difference between John Walsh and unrelated controversial/outspoken congressman Joe Walsh astounds me.
I've seen multiple people on Twitter announce they're boycotting John Walsh and his shows for the stuff JOE WALSH has said.
I weep for this country.

LOL Scumhunter! I love that last line. I guess adding to the confusion is that there was recently a senator from Montana named John Walsh and there's also Joe Walsh of the Eagles.
Anyways, I have encountered an anti-John Walsh troll on numerous forums. He goes by different usernames: "Vahan" is one, and I think another was "Vinisian" or something like that. The first place I encountered him was on imdb, back when that place had message boards. He sent me a PM out of nowhere lambasting me for my support of John Walsh because John supports some gun control. I put him on "ignore".
I next encountered him on another forum where he doubled down on the John Walsh remarks, this time publicly, and also lambasted me for saying some nice things about Janice Dickinson (one of Cosby's accusers). It should be noted this troll is an *ardent* Cosby supporter, who said some utterly horrible things about his accusers (of which, at last count, I think there were at least 60). The thing is, the coward didn't even have the guts to say that to me on the subforum where I was widely respected, he waited until I posted in another subforum where the activity is low. I complained to the moderator and got his posts removed. I also blocked him from there, then found he was on another site and blocked him there as well.
I should mention I don't believe there is anyone that really believes Cosby is innocent, just people that don't want his "legacy" to be tarnished and they still want to enjoy reruns of the Cosby show, which was never that great to begin with. But the damage has been done, they can continue to live in a fantasy land if they want. The thing is, would *they* want to be in a room alone with Cosby one night? Probably not.

Thanks for letting me know about Vahan or whatever his name is. If I see any variation of that screen name try to register on our forum I'll make sure to reject it lol.
And yeah Cosby, while I stress on this forum about innocence until proven guilty I'm allowed to state my non-legal opinion that Cosby is guilty as hell. (Of at least some things if not everything he's been accused of).
Frustrates me that people will think he's innocent because of one mistrial.
Even if prosecutors can't prove their case in the re-trial, it's still one case out of 60 plus.

After I shared the petition to get the charges against Orson Black reinstated on The Hunt with John Walsh Fans facebook page, a woman replied "isn't that petiton site supported by George Soros" The site the petition from is change.org George Soros is a billionaire liberal donor but somewhat controversial (essentially the liberal version of the conservative Koch brothers if you follow politics). I dunno if that's true or not, all I know is this man ALLEGEDLY RAPED MULTIPLE CHILDREN! A relative of two victims is who posted the petition! I could care less if a liberal or conservative donor supports the website that hosts her petition. I deleted her comment since it was just ignorant. Then, they're all coming out the woodwork today, someone posted to the page "I'd watch the show if John Walsh didn't boohoo about losing his kid every five seconds on it, enough already." Yeah, heaven forbid anything happens to that guy's family and maybe then he'd understand. Maybe he's just trying to troll, but in his case, I not only deleted his comment but banned him from the page as well. This is why I say I prefer here. I'd rather NOT have to have a Facebook page for The Hunt, but I feel I have no choice both to increase presence of our site and I felt there was not a current enough presence of Facebook updates for the show like AMW had. If The Hunt ever gets an official FB page as opposed to just John Walsh's page, perhaps then I can deactivate. You guys have no idea how you are SO MUCH BETTER here.  |

And now I'm seeing postings from people complaining about an impeach Trump commercial while The Hunt is playing. John Walsh has no say over the commercials aired! Also apparently these people forgot HLN is owned by CNN, who supposedly hates Trump.
I swear as someone who's not a fan of both parties really, I still find it rather ironic conservatives call liberals snowflakes since so many things offend them.

^Somewhat related to that, I was reading a bunch of comments on CNN's facebook page last night, and there are conservatives who are OUTRAGED that Keurig coffee machines pulled their advertising out of Sean Hannity's show due to his support of child molester and pedophile Roy Moore, who is currently running for a senate seat in Alabama, to the point that they have destroyed their Keurig machines.
People make me sad.
