The two segments are spliced together. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJJ1wBmYu-UPart of AMW's first show after 9/11. In this clip, Rick Segall briefly talks about the heroes of 9/11. The reason you can't find more on YouTube is because Fox automatically makes a copyright strike on any videos. Even though there are no DVDs of AMW available and they aren't doing anything with the videos themselves.

Of course, there's been multiple people on here who try to register and ask for a particular segment or episode or where they can download past episodes or if there's DVD sets and I've had to explain to them multiple times it doesn't work that way because of Fox copyrights and unless someone has a video personally for whatever reason it's limited to basically the little that's on YouTube and Vimeo. I guess I can't blame them for assuming but it does get repetitive so I put it in our AMW/Hunt FAQ.
During the last few years on Fox, an AMW episode would be available on Hulu for a week or so afterwards but that's about it.

I don't blame them, I have a whole bunch of UM and its amazing to have those thanks to people who transferred their VHS to DVD. Not the best quality but still. It upsets me though that there are missing cases or unsolved murders, wanted fugitives, and Fox cares more about their licenses than to let people upload cases that could be solved via a viewer/exposure.

I wonder if flipping the video would work. I know people who have found success doing that.
It's also gotten to the point where FACEBOOK even kicks off AMW-related videos. I did a capture montage compilation and it wouldn't let me upload it.

Nope - lowering pitch of audio doesn't help, flipping horizontally doesn't help, making it 25% of screen doesn't help.

A new clip has been uploaded to YouTube. This one features a commercial from 1988 previewing the episode that profiled Joseph Kindler. He escaped twice from prison and had gone on the run. AMW tips led to his arrest in Canada, making him Capture #23. He was the show's first international capture. www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8B2cAI3SYY

Someone just uploaded an entire episode from early July 1995! Here are the featured cases in order. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcUjzwYRcFsThe murder of Mia Zapata -- Rock singer who was murdered in 1993. Authorities identified her killer a decade later and he was convicted. Roy Wayne Bevan - Convicted child rapist who escaped from prison three times from 1982 to 1985. He became an indirect capture not too long after his profile. Lawrence Catcheway Capture Report - Managed a child pornography network in Washington State. He was the only member to go on the run. When AMW sent an investigator to film a segment, that result in a tip that led to Lawrence hiding out on the Navajo Indian reservation in Arizona. Isaiah "Rusty" Enault - An often drunk transient, he murdered a good Samaritan who picked up the hitchhiker. He then escaped from a mental hospital where viewer tips then led to his arrest in Florida. Scott Allen Freeburg - A career criminal who was just added at the time to the US Marshals 15 Most Wanted List. He murdered an innocent father-to-be who was protecting his pregnant wife. Scott was arrested two years later across the border in British Columbia, Canada. A brief update in the search for missing child Morgan Nick out of Alma, Arkansas. Morgan is still missing today. Also a brief feature on missing child Bryce Herda. Bryce disappeared while hiking with his family. He is still missing today. www.charleyproject.org/cases/h/herda_bryce.html

Has anyone ever seen those compilation of commercials videos on Youtube, generally from a single broadcast of the same episode. Sometimes they reference that the commercials aired during an AMW broadcast, other times there's commercials for AMW episodes among the complication. This makes me think there are a lot of episodes or at least individual segments in people's collections that have never been uploaded to Youtube or Vimeo.

There's probably a few people sitting on old AMW episodes on VCR tapes that haven't shared them with the public. So much untapped potential if they would just go to a DVD conversion store lol.

I've been doing some research and in case anyone goes to garage sales or flea markets, check to see if there are any VHS tapes (the ones that you would record shows on) with "America's Most Wanted" or "AMW" on the tape. I have no idea if anyone here goes to them but just in case, I have a feeling there are more than a few people with old AMW episodes in their collection. Apparently there are a lot of people involved in trading old TV show episodes, as from what I saw on Sitcoms Online.
Also out of curiosity, I checked if anyone was selling AMW episodes on Craigslist and apparently there is actually someone in Arizona who is selling a bunch of vhs movies and recorded stuff (including a couple hours of AMW). Now I'm not going to order AMW tapes on the internet but it gives me the reassurance that recordings exist and the public can get access to them.
