This is why I always appreciate when law enforcement does not give up the manhunt on someone wanted for several decades. It's not easy locating someone on the run nearly as long as Lawrence Pusateri, but as we see here, sometimes it does pay off.
I also highly appreciate that Officer Daril was able to make this all possible 46 years later.

Does anyone think that there should be a movie made about Daril and his pursuit of Pusateri?
I mean I told my mom and dad and they think that there should be a movie...
The only questions are... Which actor plays young Daril? Which actor plays old Daril? Who plays Young Lawrence Pusateri? Who plays old Lawrence Pusateri?

Question: Is Pusateri's name Luis Archuleta or is it Lawrence Pusateri? Articles say his real name is Luis but I remember on AMW that Luis was his alias name....?
There's an FBI article on their official site using the names mixed up... Louis Archuleta aka Lawrence Pusateri.

It would seem his real name is Archuleta but I can't say for sure. The important thing is whatever his real name is he's captured now.

From what I'm reading online,it sounds like Officer Daril got a tip to his whereabouts. Makes me wonder if Lawrence ticked off someone who knew who he really was and dropped a dime on him. It's happened before.

Maybe. This was pretty unique though. I hope in the future we don't go "hey officer Daril caught his own perpetrator, why can't you?" LOL j/k
