Larene Austin was accused of the murder of her girlfriend, Lunelle Barsock, who she met off Craigslist. After attempting to pin the murder on Barsock's boyfriend (another part to the soap opera and love triangle), LAPD discovered contradictory evidence and determined that Austin was actually the one who committed the murder. Austin fled and was shown during the last years of AMW on Fox, and during one of the first airings of AMW's first and only season on Lifetime. It was the Lifetime airing that finally did Austin in, as it led to her location in Punta Gorda, Belize, where she was promptly extradited. Austin was announced as AMW direct capture #1170 on January 25th, 2012. I now have some great news to share. Austin has now been found guilty by a jury. She faces up to 50 years to life in prison when she's formally sentenced. www.latintimes.com/larene-eleanor-austin-murder-conviction-california-woman-found-guilty-after-fleeing-335122

P.S. What I remember most about this case was AMW hyping a huge capture on Facebook before announcing it was Austin. All of us thought it was going to be Jason Brown or Robert Fisher because of how big deal they made, LOL. But still, this was a great capture as well and I'm glad to see Final Justice served.

Viewers in Belize helped AMW capture Reynaldo Silvestre, Robert Snyder, Patrick Brown and Larene Austin and now all of those fugitives have been found guilty in a court of law. Thank you to the people of Belize for helping to prevent Snyder from molesting more young boys, Silvestre from disfiguring more patients and Brown and Austin from possibly killing again.
