www.news-sentinel.com/news/local-news/2018/04/05/30-years-later-where-is-april-marie-tinsleys-killer/It sounds like they have narrowed it down to a few people. Some of these suspects won’t provide a DNA sample. Here’s a thought: Have they followed any of these suspects and captured any discarded DNA? Heck, if they can get the GSK in California based on Kleenex he discarded in a Hobby Lobby parking lot, I think they can do the same to confirm who April’s killer is. If they have some primary suspects, it shouldn’t be too difficult to track down if any of them owned, or had access to a blue pick-up like the one described in April’s abduction.

That is very encouraging. I have maintained from even before the amazing arrests in cold.cases over the years that April's is a solvable case.

The FBI has classified the case as, “highly solvable.” I think the investigators are at the doorstep - they just need to knock.

This is pretty crazy timing considering they were going to air her case again on ID tonight! Just like they caught the Golden State Killer right after the HLN show.
I am curious to hear more in the press conference- such as who exactly this guy was- was it a sex offender, a seemingly ordinary person no one expected etc...
I'm so relieved finally after all these years!

I feel there's a likeness on several aspects. The main difference for me is the positioning of the eyebrows in proportion to where the eyes are located. These DNA phenotype images are supposed to be an approximate likeness, but not with 100% accuracy. There's just too many variables to take into account.

P.S. Some people are wondering because the guy sort of looks like the same man who killed Abby Williams and Libby German in Delphi last year as well. My personal opinion is if he confessed to killing April, he would have confessed to killing them as well. I will be glad if pleasantly surprised (for the sake of solving their case as well) but I don't see it at the moment.

I glad this monster is off the streets for good, I hoped April's Family able to get justice of these years.

Some questions I have:
1) Was he captured in a manner similar to how they found the Golden State Killer (i.e. did a family member post their DNA results in a public domain?).
2) Will the State of Indiana seek the death penalty? Indiana does have the death penalty with lethal injection being the method of execution. I can already think of two aggravating factors: Murder committed during a felony (kidnapping and child molestation) and the victim was under the age of 14 at the time of the killing.
John D. Miller isn't on the Indiana Sex Offender Registry, and I'm guessing he has lived a crime-free life up to this point because Indiana has a law requiring anyone arrested for a felony be swabbed for DNA.
I am of agreement that the DNA-composite looks exactly like him.

Somebody claimed to me it was also familial DNA but I can't find proof of that anywhere and will wait for the press conference.
What I don't get is this guy lived in the town where one of the 2004 notes were found (Grabill). I'm not too familiar with the midwest (besides Chicago) so I don't know how spread out the town was and I don't mean to stereotype but the guy LOOKS creepy and I probably would have checked the registry for him if I lived in that town even if I didn't know about April's case.
How the heck did he not raise any alarms or suspicions?
I'll take it but still feel April's case seems like it could have been solved even sooner. (That is not to put a damper on the great news, justice delayed is not justice denied).
