They played Miller's interrogation tape on The Genetic Detective and it is so creepy to watch. The detectives asked Miller why he was there and he actually said, "It's because of the Tinsley case." They asked why he thought that and he said because he saw the case was on AMW. Then the detectives dropped the DNA bombshell, and Miller almost fell out of his chair and a look of sheer terror came across his face. He then immediately confessed. I don't think he was actually expecting them to link him to the crime. Before he was very lightheartedly talking to detectives, even almost joking with them. His mood changed very quickly when detectives said there was a DNA match.

But it does show the arrogance of guys like Miller that think they're always going to get away with no one knowing.

Finally saw the episode. I'm sorry for the terribly tragic reason but it was nice that they played the brief AMW intro with John Walsh in 2009 about the case. It does show the psyche the show had that Miller brought it up without any prodding.

By the time police called him in, he had gotten away with his crime for three decades. He likely thought he was never going to pay for what he did, hence his arrogance. Made it all the more satisfying to see when he realized that wasn't the case and that he was going to be rotting in prison for a long, long time.
