Awesome! Thankfully two of The Hunt's Season 1 fugitives who fled to Brazil are no longer fugitives.

The sad part is we still don't know what happened to his followers, just he was with his girlfriend. I hope we get some answers on that front soon.

Wow he pretty much looks exactly the same facewise except for the fact that his beard is now gray.

Yeah the only difference I saw is he appears to be a tiny bit more disheveled than he was in his pictures from Minnesota but not too much. He was probably banking on no one recognizing him being so far away. He thought wrong...

P.S. Some firsts regardless of whether this was a direct capture or not (right now nothing to indicate it was, but still an amazing capture): -Barnard is the first male fugitive from The Hunt to be captured alive. -Barnard is the first fugitive, male or female, to be "captured" via arrest and not death or a surrender. Just some fun facts I thought I'd throw out there.

But the most astounding and second most important thing in all of this? An unprecedented SIX vacancies on the US Marshals' 15 Most Wanted list!

The US Marshals are doing such an amazing job with taking down their Most Wanted fugitives recently that they should add at least one new fugitive this week.

The Marshals are amazing. My only complaint is they don't update their top 15 list enough- because they're so amazing at capturing guys off of it.

I also realized another first for a Hunt-aired fugitive. First international capture! It would truly be amazing if this turned out to be direct- Brazil would be quite the first international capture.
Of course there's still no news on HOW Barnard was captured. (can we hope for our first amwfans.com direct result, I'll share credit with The Hunt and that would be the best of both worlds. LOL)

Barnard's capture link is already on The Hunt's website (it was also already on CNN's main page but it's encouraging The Hunt page has linked to it as well). And the US Marshals have edited to say he was captured. I am assuming there will be a press conference tomorrow, at least hopefully there will be. Also, rather odd John Walsh hasn't said anything yet either. Maybe he's waiting for tomorrow as well! Right now it looks it's the result of good investigative work by the US Marshals, but we'll wait and see what the official reason is hopefully coming soon. www.cnn.com/2015/03/01/us/victor-barnard-brazil-caught/www.usmarshals.gov/investigations/most_wanted/barnard/barnard.htm
