(Above photo credit: chch.com) From chch.com: A $100,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the unsolved murder of an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer from 36 years ago. The body of 33-year-old Corp. William McIntyre was found inside his apartment at 1300 Marlborough Court in Oakville on April 21, 1984. Police say he suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. McIntyre was employed by the OPP for 11 years and during his service, spent time working as an undercover officer in Southern Ontario. McIntyre was killed the night before he was set to travel to Kingston for a work assignment. At the time of his death, police conducted an “exhaustive investigation” however his case remains unsolved. Earlier this year, Halton police and the OPP formed a Joint Homicide Team to continue the investigation. Police are hoping the monetary reward will help generate new leads in the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Halton Regional Police – McIntyre Homicide Team at 905-825-4777, ext. 8969, or the homicide tip line at 905-825-4776.www.chch.com/police-offer-100k-reward-for-information-in-unsolved-murder/Thoughts?
