From ktxs.com: ABILENE, Texas — The murder of a woman found hanging in Abilene remains unsolved two years later. Jeannie Quinn, 20, was reported missing in Levelland on April 15, 2018. Her body was found hanging, two days later, in a field near Arnold and Marigold in Abilene. A "hard wire" was twisted around her neck. According to the autopsy report, her death was a "staged hanging." She died of asphyxiation. Ricky Don Henderson -- who was named by police as a person of interest -- is currently serving time at the Byrd Unit in Huntsville. Henderson pleaded guilty in November to drug possession charges and was sentenced to 25-years. Quinn's family is offering a $12,400 reward for information leading to an arrest. The hotline created by Abilene police is still active. That number is (325) 676-6598. ktxs.com/news/local/murder-of-woman-found-hanging-in-abilene-remains-unsolved-two-years-laterThoughts? Thankfully there is a person of interest but this is still an awfully tragic and horrific case and I hope Jeannie's family will one day see justice. Jeannie Quinn's case was also submitted to Project: Cold Case last month. She is case #746 on their Faces of Unsolved Homicide memorial wall. Hopefully the publicity can lead to the prosecution of those responsible for Jeannie's murder. www.projectcoldcase.org/faces-of-unsolved-homicide/

This Ricky Henderson guy was 57 years old and Jeannie was only 20. Not judging Jeannie in other way but to me it shows a man who was trying to take advantage of her youth and preying upon someone he felt was naive. Not every May-December relationship is a bad thing and in some cases age is just a number if there's chemistry but in this case it feels like Ricky taking advantage. On top of that, he is also suspected in his wife's disappearance over 25 years ago. The good news is 25 years on the drug charges means it is theoretically possible Henderson may die in prison, but Stephane Meeks and Jeannie Quinn's families need answers as well. ktxs.com/news/abilene/wife-of-person-of-interest-in-abilene-murder-went-missing-25-years-ago
