COPS has been cancelled

Live PD has NOT been cancelled but it is being evaluated, that's not to say it won't be cancelled, it very well could be, but right now its' return is up in the air and there's nothing to say it will or won't be.

As far as Cops, I never really cared for it as much anyway, I would watch it when it was on Fox only as a way to bide my time until AMW came on.

The thing is this site is not about law enforcement but about getting justice for victims- and George Floyd was clearly a victim of murder by a police officer and yet another example of controversies involving police and minorities and sometimes the minorities are murdered by people who weren't even cops but fake cops like Mr. Neighborhood Watch George Zimmerman.

Obviously not all cops are bad cops and many do their job well but during a time where the need for reform is obvious (defunding the police is not the term I would have used but what that actually means- in cities where they invested more in social service resources and refocused the police to focus more on the most serious issues they have to deal with, crime actually went down and trust in police went up), it is completely understandable why Cops was cancelled.

Live PD on the other hand has missing child segments and wanted segments and does some good things so I hope there can be a way to salvage it for those reasons even if they have to change the format. It's also the highest rated show on cable which might give it a chance to return. I think it's status is still questionable since besides the public police controversies, it might not even be safe for cops themselves to be on that show at the moment with the protests and unrest. (And to be honest, I mainly only watched Live PD to pass the time sometimes and it was mainly the missing and wanted segments for why I found the show useful, although there were some humorous moments during the live segments).

I still am surprised Live PD hasn't come back though. It wouldn't be the same show but with a little tweaking it is salvageable imo.

Oh wow, doesn't sound like there's much a likelihood of Live PD returning based on them being on a new network.

Newsnation is actually a cable channel replacing WGN superstation. WGN still exists as a regular channel in Chicago, just the superstation cable version of it is now Newsnation.
