"In his first 10 years as Police Chief in the peaceful town of Hawarden, Iowa, Mike DeBruin never had to lead a murder investigation. But all that changed on the morning of October 15th, 2016. Two men were shot to death and a third wounded as they sat on the front porch of a house. The shooter was identified as Rodolfo Delgado-Ramos. Hours later, chief DeBruin and his men found Delgado-Ramos's black Chevy Blazer wrecked in a ditch. And inside they found his blood and the murder weapon. Rodolfo Delgado-Ramos has relatives in Nebraska, and also in Mexico, where cops discovered he's also wanted for murder."
The above was an AMW radio airing I was able to obtain and transcribe regarding someone who in my opinion is a very underrated fugitive. Making this case even more bizarre and tragic is there doesn't seem to be a motive, or at least one released to the public that I know of. His AMW archive case description is defunct so I don't know if they said it there. But still, this guy has killed THREE people that we know of in two different countries and could have had a fourth victim.
The fact that he is also wanted in Mexico, means it's possible and I stress possible he didn't go back there, especially with him having family in Nebraska. But when you've managed to stay on the run for eight years, if Delgado-Ramos did stay in the states, he's been incredibly lucky. Let's end that luck and grab him this week.
