Leandro Jimenez is the second fugitive wanted for kidapping (and the murder of his wife), I plan on profiling this week. He was aired on the August 19th, 2006 episode of AMW on Fox. Below is archived description from AMW. It should be noted Danielle is now 11 and soon to be 12-years old.
Mother Murdered, Child Missing, Father On The Run
Three-year-old Danielle Jimenez is missing, and police fear she's been abducted by someone they say is very dangerous -- her own father.
While Danielle might be in the hands of the man who brought her into this world, he's also a suspected killer. Danielle's father -- Leandro Jimenez -- is wanted for allegedly killing Danielle's mother. Harris County Sheriff's Deputies in Texas say that Leandro Jimenez and his wife Sonia had an ongoing dispute that escalated on July 31, 2006.
That day, police say Jimenez followed Sonia as she headed to visit a friend at a Houston apartment complex. When she arrived, he got out of his car and allegedly stabbed her with a sharp object in the parking lot. Emergency crews rushed Sonia to the hospital, but it was too late -- she died later that day. Cops are still uncertain of the exact description of the murder weapon.
Danielle's Abduction
Fortunately, Danielle wasn't there to see her mother die. Cops say the three-year-old was staying with her older siblings at the time. But after allegedly killing Sonia, cops say Leandro headed to the place Danielle was staying. He took the child and hasn't been seen since.
Thoughts? According to AMW and the Charley Project, Danielle and Leandro are believed to possibly be in Mexico or Del Rio, Texas.
