(Above photo credit: Boston.com) From boston.com: A 33-year-old man is wanted for questioning in connection with the death of a woman that occurred inside a home in Gardner, Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said Sunday. Gardner resident Aaron Pennington should be considered armed and dangerous, Early said during a news conference Sunday evening. Anyone who sees him should avoid him and call the police. Gardner police responded to 42 Cherry St. for a report of a disturbance just before 9:15 a.m. Sunday morning and discovered the dead woman at the back of the house, Early said. The DA’s office later confirmed that Pennington is a resident of the home. Four children who lived in the home left the house to go to a neighbor’s home before police arrived, the DA’s office said. Those children, aged 2, 5, 7, and 9, are now in DCF custody, Early said. Authorities obtained a search warrant for the home, Early said, and shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Massachusetts State Police detectives entered the house to investigate. Early declined to say whether the death was considered a homicide. When asked whether Pennington was a suspect or a person of interest in the case, Early said he was both. Early did not specify Pennington’s relationship to the children and declined to give more information about the case. Pennington is described as a white man with blonde hair and blue eyes, Early said. He is approximately 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds. He is believed to be driving a white 2013 BMW Model 320 with a Massachusetts veteran’s license plate that reads 8A30. Anyone who sees Pennington or has information about the case is asked to call state police at 508-829-8326. www.boston.com/news/local-news/2023/10/22/gardner-man-wanted-womans-death-home-aaron-pennington-cherry-street-armed/Thoughts? Based on online article posting dates, Pennington was still wanted for questioning at least as of yesterday (October 22nd, 2023.) www.boston.com/news/local-news/2023/10/22/gardner-man-wanted-womans-death-home-aaron-pennington-cherry-street-armed/Admin Note: If you have any (news-related) updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

I bet this is going to be used as evidence in court that it was premeditated, hope they get him soon, because that’s just messed up what he did.

Yeah I am normally opposed to the death penalty but this is one case where I'd make an exception because it was so premeditated and cold-blooded. A moot point since Massachusetts doesn't have it but still.

I’m all for this guy spending the rest of his life contemplating what he did.

What I don't like the most about this case is the uncertainty about his fate if he's dead they would have found something like remains clothes or something but they have not found a single thing which means in my opinion is that he is still alive hiding in the woods of the northeast this guy served in the armed forces and every branch especially the army navy and Marines having extensive survival training

There’s evidence pointing to him being alive and dead. One is that they were searching for him in a lake after reading notes- but they won’t specify what was in those notes asides from a few things. However he also may have switched the plates in his car to another state- which you don’t do if you are planning to just go somewhere and kill yourself. I feel there is strong evidence he may have killed himself but you can’t take a chance and still have to publicize if he is alive.

So it's basically 50/50 on him being alive or dead hopefully we'll find out soon

The fact that there hasn’t been any sightings of Aaron Pennington within the last year leads me to believe he’s hiding out in a neighboring state like Vermont, New Hampshire or Maine, or he could be dead in a wooded area in those states given how sparsely populated they are. The Kentucky Shooter and Brian Laundry were dead in a wooded area, and I don’t think a guy like Aaron doesn’t strike me as someone who would last long as a fugitive and would’ve been found by now.

Last time they were looking for him in a lake so if he drowned it’s possibly going to be a matter of luck and hoping the body resurfaces. I feel even authorities are leaning towards dead since Pennington would have been added to the state most wanted list by now.

I will say though I was reading up on a Facebook group and Pennington worked for Raytheon who are contractors for the U.S. Defense department. I still would lean towards dead, but that is a reason to go the other way.

Pennington is still at large as of today, October 22, 2024 according to a new article. I agree with Scumhunter that authorities think that Pennington is at least “possibly” deceased. As Scumhunter mentioned, Pennington would have likely been added to the Massachusetts Most Wanted list by now. www.cbsnews.com/amp/boston/news/aaron-pennington-gardner-massachusetts/
