In 2010 and 2012, AMW aired the case of fugitives Eric Valdivia and Melecio Maravilla. The two along with Alfonso Chavez were wanted in connection with the 2004 double homicide of professional boxer Jason Janek and his friend Kevin Abul-Husn in Whiting, Indiana. Chavez was arrested in California in 2010 but was soon released on bond. Charges against him would later be dropped.
Later that year, Valdivia was actually captured by the US Marshals in Guadalajara, Mexico. Mexican authorities intervenied when the Marshals were about to leave with Valdivia because of his dual citizenship status and had him released. So thanks to that, Valdivia once again became a fugitive.
Unlike in regards to Chavez, the charges against Maravilla and Valdivia have not been dropped as of May 2012. However the chances of either of them being captured soon seem highly unlikely.
