Luis Sanchez is wanted for the homicide of his ex-girlfriend, 34-year old Guadalupe Lopez (aka. Ivette). According to Newspapers.com archives, Luis had been stalking Guadalupe after they had broken up. Luis then allegedly shot Guadalupe to death with a shotgun in front of her 13-year old son.
Luis fled to Mexico where he was actually arrested. It was agreed that he would be prosecuted in his native country. However Luis posted bail in 1998 and became a fugitive once again. He has not been rearrested in either the United States or Mexico.

Thoughts? As of today, June 23, 2024, Luis has an active murder warrant, according to Utah's statewide warrants database. I checked PACER and did not see a UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) case for him.
I hope Guadalupe's family, especially her son can finally get justice and accountability in their loved one's case.
