You may remain anonymous.Philip and Patty Kenley are two of Collin County Texas's Most Wanted for a truly disgusting alleged crime. They were aired at least twice on AMW. Below is the archived description of their case: Police in Collin County, Texas say Patty Ann Kenley and her husband Phillip are perverts. According to authorities, between April and June 1997, Patty sexually assaulted an 11-year-old boy in her husband's presence. They say Phillip simply watched, allowing the disgusting sex crimes to take place. Arrest warrants were issued for the Kenleys on June 13, 1997 -- and later that day, the couple was arrested. But, like so many other criminals, they posted bond and didn't show up for their scheduled court date. Police believe the pair fled together and may still be traveling together, but they also say it's possible they've parted ways. Now, both are wanted for sexual assault and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Police believe they may have ties to Springville, Ark., but could be anywhere. Thoughts? We've unfortunately seen with John Kelley and Patricia Stoneman and also our forum-exclusive case of Ernesto and Sonia Alcantar that husband and wife molesting teams are actually not completely uncommon. Even though they're not Hispanic it wouldn't surprise me if the Kenleys fled to Mexico. They've somehow managed to avoid detection since 1999 when they didn't show up for their court date. But wherever they are, children are at risk. Even 18 years after their alleged crime. If you know where Philip and Patty Kenley are, please call the Collin County Sheriff's Office. I remember years ago on the old forums there was a poster claiming they were a relative of the Kenleys. They revealed that the victim in the case has since passed away. Obviously that's going to be difficult to confirm, since the victim's name was never publicly revealed, but if that's true, that could make prosecution more difficult (though they can still use the victim's interviews with police I'm guessing).
Really is baffling that these two have stayed at large for so long. I wonder if they're still together or if they've split up like Robin Robinson & William Balser or Jeanifer Segrest & Cesar Moran.

If the victim had been suffering from a terminal illness, for example, this would make the Kenleys Texas' worst child rape conspirators in recent memory. Why in the (censored) did they get so little attention from AMW? I hope the judge would give Patty and Phillip two life sentences if they premeditated this crime.

I'm guessing the warrants are still valid because there was testimony at a preliminary hearing that would be admissible at their trial by the victim. It surprises me they have been on the run this long. My guess is they have split up on the run. There was the Byron and Dorothy Carlson case where both were on the run for sexual assault charges out of Texas, and Dorothy later surrendered while Byron died in Mexico while on the run. I wouldn't rule out Mexico as a possibility, either.

Federal warrants for "Knowingly and willfully flee from the State of Texas and move in Interstate Commerce with the intent to avoid the prosecution for the crime of Sexually Assaulting a Child" were dismissed in 2015 but the Kenleys still have local active warrants in Collin County search as of July 3rd, 2022. ecf.txed.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/DktRpt.pl?166556051148028-L_1_0-1 |
