Compton has a bad reputation but it has substantially gotten better than it was In the late 80s the 90s and early 2000s but I guess nothing completely goes away Compton was synonymous with street crime and sadly it was true for a while do to the various street gangs like the bloods and Crips but thanks to a number of factors including higher police presence neighborhood watch groups and a lot of money flowing in from the California state government and los Angeles county governments new businesses and people being helped by the state government meaning that they have been able to redevelop some of the more crime ridden areas into actual family neighborhoods now I am not saying anything about the motive of the shooting about it being gang related or anything like that I know one thing for sure Compton has a bright future ahead of it and hopefully this level of violence will be removed so the people of Compton and one thing I will say to people who think los Angeles as a whole is just a cesspit please listen to my words los Angeles is a very diverse population and is home to so much culture whether it be the beautiful cathedrals built by thr colonial Spanish to the watts towers la brea tarpits griffin observatory la county definitely is a place I would love to visit alongside san Diego my dad was stationed there when he was in the navy he used to use the trolley to visit various places around San Diego socal is a very awesome place

That is not to suggest crime, murder etc.. isn't a problem still- just we are doing a better job at mitigating crime as opposed to the past. However, obviously Robert's loved ones don't want to hear about he's an exception to a downtrending statistic and want justice for him and it should be done for him.
