(WFRV) – Authorities in Kenosha County are asking for the public’s help in locating a 25-year-old man accused of killing a mother of three and an unborn baby. According to a release, the Kenosha Police Department is searching for Lawrence G. Franklin Jr. for the homicide of 22-year-old Amiah Prather. The release alleges that Franklin Jr. killed Prather while she was pregnant with a baby girl. Additionally, officers say that Franklin Jr. and Prather knew each other, meaning this incident was not a random act of violence. “Incidents like this often cause concern and fear,” said the Kenosha Police Department on its social media page. “We are working around the clock and have partnered with some of our federal law enforcement partners to locate and arrest Lawrence Franklin Jr.” The statement continues to say that while Franklin Jr.’s actions were not random, the community should know he is considered to be armed and dangerous. Franklin Jr. has a large tattoo on his neck and tattoos on both arms and wrists. He is frequently seen in Kenosha, Racine, and South Milwaukee. He was last seen leaving a house on Friday near 40th St. and 11th Ave. in Kenosha. “We know several individuals have assisted Lawrence after he committed the homicide,” added the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office on social media. “We encourage anyone who may have helped Lawrence to come forward.” Additionally, officers want those individuals to be aware that harboring or aiding a felon is a felony. If the investigation shows that someone assisted Franklin Jr. in a manner that hindered the Kenosha Police Department, they will arrest that person and refer criminal charges to the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office. “Lawrence, if you are reading our media releases, the safest way to resolve this is to turn yourself in,” concluded the Kenosha Police Department on social media. Anyone with information on Franklin Jr.’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Kenosha Police Department at (262) 605-5210. As of today’s posting date (September 10th, 2024), Franklin’s charges in Wisconsin’s online court records still show as filed only- arrest warrant issued. I do want to say thanks to the Kenosha Police Department though for letting the public know that just because this is not a random incident doesn’t mean Franklin’s not dangerous. I see so many “the victim was known to the suspect therefore no one has to worry” posts by other police departments and I’m always like “wtf? They’re still a fugitive desperate to anyone who finds out who they are!” But yeah I see a litany of court cases and domestic violence cases against this guy in the court system so he really does need to be caught quickly. Franklin you need to turn yourself in you vile coward heed my words you are now considered a joke on the streets you have no friends who will hide you and I bet your associates will not be harboring you and same with your family you didn't just allegedly which I will say because you haven't been to trial you didn't just kill someone random which would be horrible enough you brutally butchered a mother of three and her unborn daughter you took a mother from her children and sister from her children Lawrence if you have any shred of decency of you turn yourself in you have no chance at hiding the authorities will find you not matter where you hide the long arm of the law will find you and to any one who has harbored him do the right thing and come forward please tell him where he is for the family of the victims and the community of Kenosha save yourself just do the right thing a mother was savagely killed along her daughter who could have been another light in the city of Kenosha Franklin you aren't just being sought by just the Kenosha police alone you have the whole state authorities and the Federal authorities after you the us Marshals and possibly more no one else has to die just turn yourself in 🥺 and face trial 😡😡 justice always get the last day even if you don't face it on earth you will face justice for sure and much harsher in the life after this one

We have a additional arrest a woman named kaliyah Patterson has been charged with purchasing the firearm that was used to kill the prather and her daughter tmj4 is my source she's being held on a 50,000 bond at the Kenosha county jail Franklin is still at large as of this post
