Jesus Chavarria-Vasquez is wanted for three counts of manslaughter. Authorities say that he was driving late at night when he allegedly struck a parked vehicle on the emergency shoulder of a freeway. The occupants of that vehicle, which had its emergency flashers on were changing a flat tire. Killed in the incident were 23-year olds Christopher Pham and David Nguyen along with 22-year old Hieu Minh Doan. Three other people were injured, including Jesus's own 12-year old son. Jesus then fled the accident scene without rendering aid.

Thoughts? As of today, October 2, 2024, Jesus is wanted since he was featured today on the Dallas Police Department's Facebook page. This is part of their Wanted Wednesday publicity campaign. This is the type of horrible, under-the-radar fugitive case that needs to be featured by law enforcement on social media. The deaths of Christopher, David and Hieu are horrific enough, but the fact that Jesus fled without any regard for his own son's well-being as well. I am really glad the Dallas Police Department has made the decision to request tips from the public here. That means that they legitimately do not know Jesus's whereabouts and this is not an extradition issue (at the moment).
I hope that the families of all the victims can get justice and accountability in this tragic case. I could not find any possible whereabouts on where Jesus might be.
