NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — More than 15 months after a man was found shot to death inside a vehicle in a South Nashville neighborhood, authorities announced someone has been indicted for murder.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said 24-year-old Majok Chol, of Nashville, was shot inside his car in the 5200 block of Tusculum Court on June 15, 2023. Chol was reportedly found dead behind the wheel of a Dodge Charger, which was parked in the middle of the street, around 12:15 a.m. after meeting with the occupant of another vehicle.
More than a year later, on Wednesday, Sept. 25, officials announced the indictment of 24-year-old Joel Hernandez for a first-degree murder charge, saying that a detective’s investigation led to the identification of Hernandez as the suspect in the fatal shooting.
According to authorities, Hernandez was last known to have lived in Smyrna. He is now considered a fugitive by law enforcement.
No additional details have been released about this case.
If you see Hernandez or have any information regarding his whereabouts, you are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

Thoughts? As far as I can tell, Hernandez is still at large as of today’s posting date (October 9th, 2024) since the above article was from only two weeks ago. However, if that status has since changed and/or changes in the future, anyone is more than welcome to let us know.
