Juan Aguilar-Cano is wanted for the homicide of 48-year old Zuleika Lopez. Authorities allege that Juan allegedly strangled Zuleika to death and abducted their 10-year old son. The boy was quickly found safe in Mexico and has been returned to the US. Juan is still at large one year later and is being sought by the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, the US Marshals and Mexican authorities.

Thoughts? As of today, November 20, 2024, Juan is still at large based on an article from yesterday (11/19/2024). I am frustrated at times as to how fugitive cases are often forgotten about by the media if the manhunt reaches the one-year mark. It is good that Zuleika's case has not been forgotten by the media and hopefully this publicity can help with an arrest. I hope that Zuleika's family, especially her children will get justice and accountability in their loved one's case.
