Robert Evans is a convicted child molester who was aired on the May 25th, 2012 episode of America's Most Wanted on Lifetime. Below is the archive description of his case:
Carnival Worker On The Loose
Robert Evans is known to set up and operate rides at carnivals -- especially in Florida -- to make some cash. But authorities say he's also known for something else: child molestation.
A convicted sex offender, the U.S. Marshals Service is worried about Evans continuing to work at carnivals, as it gives him acces to young children.
Evans served about ten years in prison for molesting a child in Florida. After he was released on probation, he had to wear an electronic bracelet. Cops say that didn't sit well with Evans, who cut off his electronic bracelet on February 18, 2009, and left it behind a McDonald's in Lake City, Fla. Since then, no one has seen Evans.
Evans most likely will work odd jobs or at carnivals and fairs setting up rides and operating them. He also has a metal plate in his head from a head injury years earlier. Cops say he's a heavy drinker and could be anywhere.
Thoughts? I think what will be difficult in locating Evans is the fact he may be working for a travelling carnival. We've seen a few cold case fugitives who may be doing the same thing. The reason they are so difficult to catch is because they travel and don't stay mobile like other fugitives.
