Aldo Gonzalez, aired on the January 20th, 2012 episode of AMW, is wanted for a crime so sickening I want to put a disclaimer to anyone reading this that the case description, albeit one that is from AMW's own website archive, is extremely graphic. Below is their description of the case:
12-Year-Old Rape Survivor Leads Cops To Crime Scene
U.S. Marshals and North Las Vegas Police are on the manhunt for a predator who kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl. Aldo Gonzalez, 27, fled from Nevada in December 2006 as he awaited sentencing after pleading guilty to kidnapping, sexual assault and lewdness with a minor.
The young victim, who is reportedly mentally-challenged, told police that she woke-up at approx. 6:30 a.m. on June 24, 2006, and went for a walk around her neighborhood when Gonzalez grabbed her and took her to a nearby house. The victim said Gonzalez then placed a cloth over her nose and mouth which caused her to instantly become unconscious.
The victim noticed she was naked when she awoke later. She quickly got dressed and Gonzalez, who was still present, took her out of the house through the back door, walked her down the street and released her.
After calling the police from a neighbor's house, the victim led cops to the house where she was assaulted. She later identified the suspect for the police.
North Las Vegas cops say this is one of the most heinous crimes they've seen. This is Gonzalez's first attack, Marshals say, but they consider him dangerous. Gonzalez may be in Mexico, but cops believe he is back in the U.S. and hanging out with drug dealers.
Thoughts? This case is disturbing and if I recall correctly it was not a full-profile, which surprises me considering Omar Arenal got one for a similar crime. Gonzalez's archive lists Mexico as a possibility but I feel it shouldn't be overlooked that he was born in California.
