The FBI is still seeking answers to a tragic triple murder that struck a Mississippi town. Below is the brief FBI website description of the case:
"Law enforcement authorities are seeking information in connection with a triple murder in Mississippi. On October 5, 2011, the victims were found stabbed to death in their home in D'Iberville, Mississippi. The victims were Rong Chen, a 40-year-old Asian male; Mei Rong Li, a 40-year-old Asian female (Rong Chen's wife); and Mei Jin Li, a 53-year-old Asian female (Mei Rong Li's sister).
It was reported that a small, possibly two-door, light gray vehicle was parked at the victims' house on the morning of the murders. The hood on the car was raised and it was parked behind the victims' car."
There are a few more notes that may be helpful, although there is surprisingly not a ton of information I could find online considering the severity of this case:
-Rong Chen and Mei Rong Lei owned Chinese Happiness, a Chinese restaurant not far from their home. They had ties to New York and Georgia according to one article. According to an FBI agent interviewed in another article, they had ties all across the U.S., and this case could go from "California to Mississippi to Georgia to New York."
-Police spoke to a person of interest shortly after the murders- who worked at the Chinese restaurant. The person of interest was initially held on immigration charges, but police did not have enough to charge him with the triple murder. As a result, he was deported to China. The FBI is working with Chinese authorities to track him down.
-Although detail is not gone into, the murders are said to be gruesome.
Thoughts? Obviously it seems they have a guy they're interested in, but they don't have enough to charge him just said. The fact the murders seem to be vicious does suggest it is of a personal nature- making a venegeful ex-employee a possible scenario, in my opinion.
