A bit weird that AMW gave up after 2004 on a double murder, but as you said, he's probably in Turkey. And if he was a spy, it will make it that much harder to catch him, assuming he was good at it (I guess the case can be made if he was really that great a spy, we would have never found out he possibly was )

Most likely he's overseas in Europe somewhere, as I doubt he has any reason to come back to the U.S. The FBI poster also mentions he might be a suicide risk. I wonder what makes them think that.

A double murder is a huge deal and Alvin Scott should face punishment for this crime. Back when Scott first went on the run in the early 2000s, I could assure you if he was in Turkey, we could’ve gotten him back on U.S. soil.
Now that doesn’t seem like it’s the case because in July 2016 the Turkish military staged a failed coup attempt against their autocratic and Islamist former Prime Minister and President since 2014; Tayyip Erdoğan. Being familiar with Turkish history, the military likely did it to defend Secular ideals, but Erdoğan accused the Gülen Movement (a more moderate Islamist movement) led by Fethullah Gülen, who is currently living in Pennsylvania, and is alleged of being behind the 2016 failed coup, but there is no evidence of that and the United States will not extradite him without it.
There’s always the possibility that Alvin Scott is living in Europe, but if he’s in Turkey, the U.S. is going to have to do a high wire act and extradite Fethullah Gülen without any evidence in order to bring Alvin Scott back from Turkey if that’s the case.

I mean they still have a chance to add him, and he’d be on par with Brad Bishop. This is obviously pretty cool, At the time, the FBI had a full list with Edward Harper having been the most recent addition so perhaps now things can go in favor of his addition with Gerena, Godwin, and Mogilevich gone.

I agree. These murders were horrific. He chased both of them down and shot them twice in the torso and once in the head. Overkill. Shows to me he’s a danger to the public.

My opinion on this case has switched to Europe being a more likely possibility. I doubt he’s in Turkey since it’s become a flat out police state. In recent weeks I really haven’t had any Top Ten Contenders in mind, but I’d Consider Scott a possibility now given that social media networks have been around for awhile, the cleanup that occurred with the list from 2015-16 and now based on the information that he was considered for the actual Top Ten List.

I realize we've been discussing him recently, but only because it's new site policy to officially mention either during our original posting or during an update, just wanted to officially reflect that as of this update (7/14/2018), Scott is still listed on the FBI's website as a wanted fugitive. (Same link as in the OP).

It turns out trump is working to extradite Fetullah Gulen, the man alleged to be behind the attempted military coup in Turkey in July 2016. www.cnn.com/2018/12/16/world/turkey-cavusoglu-cleric-gulen/index.htmlIf this does happen, in exchange for Gulen, the U.S. should place Alvin Scott on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List to put pressure on Turkey to bring him back if he’s there, and if he’s found, depending on the Gulen situation if he actually gets extradited back to the U.S., then it gives us hope with Alvin Scott.

There needs to be an opening on the top ten list so I'm not going to worry about that until there's a capture but other than that it's not a bad idea. Also it's Trump's administration, not Trump per se, working to extradite Gulen.

It’s pretty much a case similar to Bishop since Scott served in the military and did diplomatic missions in Eastern Europe, not to mention he’s 14 years younger than Bishop, but before that we need an opening on the list as you mentioned.

Just wanted to mention- as requested- there is still an active UFAP warrant just like the FBI poster stated- when I searched Pacer for Alvin Scott (I searched under his alias figuring it would be easier and thankfully it was).
The last document was a bunch of documents in 2020 about there being no criminal or civil trials until certain dates (ended with July 2020) in the Northern District of Georgia because of Covid-19, but that is probably just procedural and had nothing to do with Scott per se.
