Joseph Maloney is wanted for the murder of his wife June back in 1967. June was tired of Joe's abusive behavior and finally left him, although she agreed to see him occasionally for the sake of their kids. During their separation, Joe visited a neighbor, who was an amateur chemist, and discussed certain chemicals, particularly one that was odorless and tasteless. The neighbor was suspicious of Joe and ordered his family not to let anyone, especially Joe, into his chemical department. Joe, however, was able to convince the man's sister to let him in. During a party for their son, Joe gave June a couple drinks laced with the poison. She got sick and eventually fell into a coma. Joe tried to convince the doctors that June was depressed and tried to commit suicide, but when she eventually died, an autopsy showed the same poison stolen from the neighbors lab was in her body. Joe was arrested for her murder, but convinced the courts he needed to be committed to a mental facility. The courts didn't know that Joe used to work at that same facility, and Joe eventually escaped. In 1973, Joe was arrested in Ireland under the name Michael O'Shea. But because the U.S. and Ireland did not have an extradition treaty, he was released. In 1985, he was arrested again after a treaty between the U.S. and Ireland came into effect. He was housed in a maximum security after making two efforts to escape. A year later, the law was thrown out and Josephy Maloney was relased again. He soon fled with his new wife, Sheila O'Shea. He was first profiled back in 1993 to 2003. Where do you guys think he is now? My guess is that after he left Ireland, he fled to Canada and is either there still, or he maybe fled back to Ireland years later. Thoughts? UPDATE from site admin: As of July 27th, 2018, Unsolved Wiki still mentions Maloney as "Results: Wanted": unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Joe_MaloneyAdmin Note #1: Based on wanted location, our advice for anyone with information on this fugitive's whereabouts would be to contact Monroe County (New York) Crime Stoppers. You can submit an anonymous web tip to them at the following link: www.tipsubmit.com/WebTips.aspx?AgencyID=177&HR=http%3A//www.tipsoft.com/index.asp?p=webtips Admin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Although my memory of watching over a decade and a half's worth of AMW episodes has faded over time, Joseph Maloney is one of the few I remember from my middle/high school watching days and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he was on Final Justice as well. Great choice today as this brings back memories. Anyway if he isn't dead I agree he is likely back in Ireland or a country nearby.

Unfortunately with some of these cases, I either never saw the case air, or I simply don't remember. I know I saw Maloney's last airing, but I only remember vaguely. That's why I like finding old reenactments on YouTube.

CourtTV's web archive entry from 2001 features the 65 Final Justice episodes that were re-aired in 2001 (although msn.tv mentions around 135-140 episodes from 1995-1996). I'll mention some of the names we're more familiar with and what episode they were aired on (including all the still wanted ones I'm aware of). web.archive.org/web/20010609140350/http://courttv.com/onair/shows/americasmostwanted/#1: John List/Paul Wong (still wanted) #2: William Bradford Bishop (still wanted) #3: Miami River Cops #9: Joseph Quarteri (still wanted) #12: Glen Godwin (still wanted) #13: Samuel Burchard (still wanted) #14: I-70 Serial Killer (still wanted) #16: Dennis Howe (still wanted) #17: James Bennett #18: Frank Gove Murder (still unsolved) #19: Alvaro Alvarado (still wanted) #20: Victor Rohana Attacker (still unsolved?) #23: Gregory Rivera (still wanted) #24: Joseph Maloney (still wanted) #25: Dennis Lilly (still wanted) #28: Kenneth McDuff #30: Jc Jiles #31: Leslie Rogge #32: Roberto Solis (still wanted) & Heather Tailchief #34: Edward "Eddie" James #35: John Riccardi #38: William Stabler (still wanted) #40: Sarkis Peltekian (still wanted) #41: Alan "Zombie Bandit" Hurwitz #43: Loretto Villar (still wanted) #44: Daisy Jane Doe (still unidentified) #45: Steven Wilson/Gerald Hemp (still wanted) #46: Robert Faye Adams (still wanted) #48: Jose Rivera (still wanted?) #49: Dewey Daniels (still wanted) #51: Ray Steven Mobley (still wanted?) #54: Lawrencia "Bambi" Bembeneck #58: Leo Koury #59: Carlos Acosta (still wanted?) #60: Patrick McCoy (still wanted) #61: Sophie David (still wanted) #63: John Hawkins #65: Enrique Corupina As far the other episodes go, MSN.tv while not mentioning exact names brings up the cases of Carl Alfred Eder and James Dudley Ashley among possibly others. Also can anyone see if they can access the case files on the court.tv link provided. It didn't work for either myself or PakMan (my computer brings up something regarding Apache Tomcat).

I know I'm getting off topic but does anyone know the details of any of these Final Justice cases? (Including one AMW Direct Capture)
#7: Juan Carlos Feliciano #11: David Meisner #27: Michael Dean Clarke #33: Gregorio Morales (#357)

I unfortunately don't have any other info and it is rather depressing how many of the wanted fugitives from final justice are still not located. Did ANY of the Final Justice fugitives who were profiled as still on the run get caught? While AMW has great results, that show was a bad luck charm.

James Bennett, possibly Leslie Rogge, Ronald Gould, Heather Tailchief and Enrique Corupina were all captured after their Final Justice profiles. But yes, as far as capturing fugitives, Final Justice wasn't that useful. Several of the still unresolved cases I mentioned are among the more frequently profiled early AMW fugitives and/or appeared on the 2003 Playing Card Set (William Bishop, Joseph Quarteri, Glen Godwin, Dennis Howe, Alvaro Alvarado, Joseph Maloney, Dennis Lilly, William Stabler, Sarkis Peltekian, Loretto Villar, Gerald Hemp, Robert Faye Adams, Dewey Daniels, Sophie David, James Dudley Ashley and Carl Alfred Eder).

And I am pretty certain not even they were captured as a result of Final Justice. Going even more off-topic but that tells me when AMW was searching for a new network post second-cancellation, the possible syndication suggestion may have been a really bad idea. They would have shown more fugitives than Final Justice of course but that was not a good indicator.

I've been to Ireland before, and after traveling throughout the countryside and five different counties, it wouldn't surprise me if Joe Maloney never left the country. He could blend in very easily, especially since the Garda (Irish Police Force) apparently never took his picture. What were they thinking?
I always hate saying fugitives will never be caught, but in this case I really don't see that happening. Maloney's an old man now, and while he could still be alive, the odds are against it.
Nothing much else to say about this case.

He was one of the very first fugitives AMW ever profiled. After his brother died, he became a "shoulder to cry on" for his sister-in-law and her daughter. But it turns out he may have wanted more than that, and when his sister-in-law told him to stop hanging around her, he killed her while she was sleeping. I think he may have tried to kill her daughter, too (they were sleeping in the same bed) but I can't remember. On the run, he completely changed his appearance and looked NOTHING like the photos AMW aired of him. I can't remember what led to his capture, but he was caught around 1994/1995.

Perhaps, he changed his name and perhaps lives in a place where in Ireland none would never go investigate

I think there was one fugitive named Adrian "Tony" Tena who was wanted for a murder of a teen girl acquaintance...he took exception to the girl referring to a friend with a nickname of "Hey, B-word (euphemism)" that was not meant to be malicious and shot her. Tena fled to Mexico. Final Justice aired Tena's profile with a message crawl at the end stating Tena was found murdered in Mexico. No mention of suspects captured in Tena's death.
