Orlando Hamilton was aired on the November 25th, 2006. Unfortunately, the archive listing his profile stats- height no longer works but the case description is still available:
A Man of Many Names
Orlando Hamilton has been on the run since 1989 when cops say he shot and killed a 22 year-old man in the Bronx, NY who was "on his turf." Cops say the alleged enforcer for a drug trafficking organization has evaded capture for more than 17 years by purchasing the social security numbers and assuming the identities of substance abusers.
Hamilton has been quite busy during this time, breaking the law under several different names. In late 1989, Hamilton was arrested in Washington, DC under the alias Mark Campbell for firearms violations. He fled and cops didn't see him again until 1992 when he was arrested as Dion Barnes for selling drugs in Winston-Salem, NC. The elusive fugitive fled and resurfaced as Christopher Mitchell in 2001, when he was stopped for a traffic violation while leaving the home of a known fugitive. Cops arrested Hamilton, who they say was very evasive and uncooperative.
In jail, cops requested to have Hamilton fingerprinted to verify his identity. Cops say that Hamilton told them they'd have to kill him to get his prints. Finally, they managed to print him, but Hamilton posted a $50k bond and disappeared. A fingerprint match returned three days later confirmed his true identity.
For the past few years, cops say Hamilton's been working as muscle for large drug smuggling rings around the U.S. Pagers belonging to Hamilton and seized by police indicated that he had contacts in all major US cities. According to investigators, after a confidential informant ready to provide information on Hamilton's location was murdered in 2002, the trail went cold. That murder remains unsolved.
Thoughts? I am assuming Hamilton is still at large as of this posting date (6/17/2015) since I haven't found anything online suggesting otherwise. If anyone ever has any updates/proof-of-updates one way or the other, they are always more than welcome to let us know. Of course one question I'd like to know is whether he had to anything to do with the unsolved murder of the informant. Hamilton has proven incredibly difficult to catch because despite him being arrested multiple times, he has a variety of aliases and seems to know how to work the system. I found an old article from 1995 about the case which says Hamilton was 26 at the time. So this means he is in his mid-late 40's today.
