Robert E. Williams (not to be confused with another AMW-aired fugitive, Robert Joseph Williams), was aired as a commercial break case on the May 11th, 2002 episode of America's Most Wanted. Below is the archived description of the case:
"Robert Williams has been arrested on three counts of sexual intercourse without consent. He posted bail on these three counts and police say he then disappeared, violating the conditions of his release. Police say all three of the counts occurred between July 10-August 7, 1997 in Missoula County, Montana, and the victim was a fourteen-year-old female. Police say Williams was working in a body repair shop that was located across the street from the victim's home. According to police, Williams befriended the victim and acted as a father figure for the girl. Police say Williams then failed to appear in court in Missoula County and a Petition for Revocation of his release was issued in January of 1998.
Police say after disappearing from Montana sometime after he posted bail, Williams was arrested in Solano County, California, in June of 2000. Again, he posted bail and police say he disappeared. He was last in custody at his arrest in Solano County, California in June of 2000."
Thoughts? Unfortunately, all I have is that grainy photo. As far as I can tell, Williams has never been captured as of this posting date (9/19/2015). Then again, it's a common enough name that he could have been and it could have gone unnoticed. So if anyone has proof otherwise, please let us know.
