(Above photo credit: FBI.Gov) Fugitive Profile as of September 22nd, 2015: (based on FBI.Gov Wanted Poster) Aliases: Daniel M. Suh, Daniel Suh Date(s) of Birth Used: January 31, 1981 Place of Birth: Georgia Height: 6'0" Weight: 130 pounds Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Sex: Male Race: Asian Nationality: American (Korean descent) Scars and Marks: Suh has a scar on his upper lip and a slight disfigurement of his nose. He also has several unknown gang-style tattoos on his body. Remarks: Suh may be affiliated with the Asian gang known as "Korean Power". He has ties to Chicago, Illinois, and the Republic of Korea. TIPS: If you have any information concerning this person, please contact your local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate. Daniel Min Suh is wanted in connection with the murder of a man in Gwinnett County, Georgia, on January 1, 1999. The victim was shot to death with a .22 caliber pistol in what may have been Suh's gang initiation. Thoughts? That short description was from the FBI's website. I believe Suh was aired on AMW but need one of our fellow members to remind me of when or if my memory is wrong and he was only on the website. Oddly enough, I found a blog suggesting Suh could be teaching English in Korea. I'm not sure if they actually think he is or are just raising the possibility. It's mainly about how there's been a large number of fugitives wanted for murder in the U.S. who wind up teaching English in Korea. Suh's name is mentioned as a Korean wanted for murder. However, wherever Suh is, he killed someone possibly just to join a gang. So if he can kill without much as a motive, he still poses a threat, even 16 years later. www.fbi.gov/wanted/murders/daniel-min-suh/viewAdmin Note: If you have any news-related updated information on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form

Yes, Suh was profiled on April 8, 2000, according to the AMW archives And kind of off-topic, I actually know a guy who teaches English in Korea. It must be a bigger profession than people realize.

I fear that the argument and subsequent shooting was likely for gang initiation purposes, just pick a young man at random and prove that you could kill someone in cold blood. However the FBI poster doesn't confirm that the motive was a gang initiation, just that the possibility was there.

Im glad i found the thread to my other Top Ten wild card and this one is more deserving as a 16 year old was shot and killed in this case and the murder of children is never acceptable, so ill consider him a candidate, but also Suh was 17 years old at the time if my math is correct. He is also fitting as it could replace Urbina in terms of 90s era cold case fugitives. But i think this guy fled to the Republic of Korea and has probably engaged in criminal activities there, working as a teacher, working as a cashier at some store, a fisherman, a factory worker or even farming for all we know. It would be nice to see this guy caught and get him back from Korea which is a challenge, but at least they're our ally. Also getting this guy wont be too hard to catch hes only 35 going over to 36 years old in January so i have confidence he'll be caught and have a captured sticker label soon.

Anyone else ever talked about the disfigurement on his nose? That is a very distinct feature on him that could possibly lead to him. Eric Toth had some very distinguished features and that's why he made the top ten and perhaps it all matters about the distinguished features that lead to his capture.
Also if Daniel Nam (former FBI fugitive caught in 2008) can be caught in South Korea than so can Daniel Min Suh.

If Suh's in some foreign country that won't extradite, the nose doesn't really matter, but in the U.S. it would help.

Suh actually could be extradited if he's in South Korea since they sent back Daniel Nam in 2008, as was previously talked about, the fact that he's a possibly a school teacher since many Canadian & American born-Korean fugitives become School teachers while on the run. Since 2008 the extradition treaty with South Korea has been enforced.

It depends on what Asian country he's in, South Korea would give some hope, but locating him would still be a needle in a haystack since many Asian countries are so overpopulated. You make an excellent point about his nose though as I never thought about it before but now that I think about it, it is kind of funny looking Would help if he's still in the U.S.

Well that is true and I have hope that he'd be caught too. Being a cold case fugitive from 1999 (even though the bulk of Top tenners are from the 2000s) His nose and the fact that he's in South Korea would be good factors for adding him and the FBI needs another cold case with Van Wisse listed as captured. The theory that he may be working as a school teacher is still very solid, but he could also be working in some blue collar work. The guy probably did some maturing since he is 35 or 36 now, after 18 years on the lam.

Wanted to provide link to Gwinnett County court case search just as an additional resource to track Suh's fugitive status. As of 1/26/2018, Gwinnett County's online court records show still no movement in the case against Suh since 1999. www.gwinnettcourts.com/casesearch/bypartyname.aspx

Toptenhunter beat me to it, but I feel like Suh could be a cold case wild card now. Just a gut instinct as opposed to any reasoning. Probably will be someone more recent but wouldn't surprise me if it were Suh.
