Jesus Gomez was aired on the April 19th, 2008 episode of America's Most Wanted.
On May 24th, 2007, North Las Vegas Police requested an activation of the Nevada AMBER Alert in Southern Nevada for a 2-year old girl. The two year old girl, Lianette Gomez, was discovered missing while North Las Vegas Police were investigating the murder of her mother, Myra at their home on Bassler Street. Myra had been stabbed 80-90 times. Police immediately suspected that the father, Jesus Gomez killed Myra and took the child and were concerned about her safety because of how many times Myra had been stabbed. The AMBER Alert was issued and a short time later family members called police and said that the suspect had driven to their house and pushed the child out of his car and onto their lawn and then drove off. Lianette was unharmed but covered with blood, indicating that she had been present when her mother was killed. At the time of the incident friends of the family said that Gomez may have gone to California or Arizona but authorities later believed that Gomez fled to Mexico.
Thoughts? For such a tragic and brutal case, I am rather surprised it only got one airing on AMW, since I am assuming Gomez is still at large as of this posting date (10/10/2015). If anyone has proof otherwise, please feel free to let me know.
