WOAH!!!!!!, my condolences to his family. But what’s interesting is that he’s the same age as Bishop and the episode of The Hunt they did on Bishop back in season 1 was probably his last appearance.

James Bruno left a condolence message so this pretty much confirms it. I guess if Harrell lived until 81 (which is around life expectancy- of topic I'd like to live until 90 at least but when father time decides it's time to go it's time to go), so could have Bishop, but the main difference here is Harrell didn't have to spend his life with the pressures of being a fugitive.

I tend to think that Brad Bishop’s Addition to the Top Ten List At 77 years old in 2014 happened for a good reason. Looking back in recent years, they got Whitey Bulger (born 1929) at the age of 81 in 2011, they removed Donald Webb (born 1931) at the age of 75 in 2007 because many law enforcement experts believed he was dead which was confirmed 10 years later in 2017.
Obviously Bishop was Added for many reasons, the items that they discussed in 2014 when he was added, was his Yale Class ring, a revolver, his wallet, and his passport. These items have NEVER been recovered, unless he disposed of them, this should be the bit of hope that we have if he’s still alive or with a family somewhere in the world, but the problem is these items are locked away somewhere.
I think those items also could be what may lead to Bishop’s downfall (capture or finding out he’s dead). My optimism basically revolves around those items maybe still being in his possession.

Here’s an article from February of this year from a news affiliate in Tennessee. They believe that Bishop could be anywhere in the world including the Southern U.S. and that authorities internationally have access to this case. t.co/HpThl5MgwB

It's not really groundbreaking to me that Bishop could be anywhere in the world or country lol, but it's good to have various regions do publicity blitzes now and then.

It didn’t occur to me till now, but I since Bishop was in the army and spent years in COINTEL, I think Bishop ran off to Israel, where in exchange for not being extradited back to the U.S., he would use his services, work for the Israelis, and who have since been possibly harboring him.

I just can't picture Bishop in Israel for some reason. But once again him and Jason Brown are the two most "anything is possible" guys on the list. (Robert Fisher comes in third place on that list but I feel he's still easier to sleuth and narrow down on if alive).

Back on April 10th, it became 4 years since Bishop was Added to the Ten Most Wanted List. Hopefully and I know this may or may not be likely, but I hope he gets caught this year just like Fidel Urbina did after 4 years.

First Whitey Bulger, Then Donald Webb, and now the Golden State Killer, I hope Bishop gets caught soon, especially right now as I’m watching this press conference of the arrest of the elusive serial killer.
There needs to be a relentless publicity campaign against Bishop to finally close this case, like there was with the Golden State killer.

There already has been a publicity blitz in the past few years, including adding Bishop to the top ten list, a one-hour special on CNN on The Hunt, multiple airings on America's Most Wanted, Unsolved Mysteries etc. One thing never really done is a miniseries on one fugitive case, perhaps that could be a possibility or even a Dateline NBC or a 20/20 special. A documentary like done with Yaser Said and Robert Fisher as well perhaps.
The real problem is the publicity blitz happened far too late and Bishop should have been added to the top ten list back in the 1970s. (or at least 1980s).
With that being said, I agree the recent breakthroughs do give hope that you never give up on ANY case, and ANY case, even the search for Bishop, can hopefully be solved one day.

I suggested on the Golden State Killer message board that Bishop be their next focus.

They should reach out to the chief network in every European Country. When they publicized Bulger’s case, they had some VERY close calls with lookalikes in countries like Italy. There will be more people keeping an eye out for him.

I have doubts as to this. Reason being, since Israel relies heavily on US aid, they do not want to do anything to lose that. Believe me, Maryland’s Congressional delegation would have a bill ready to strip funding to the Israelis the next day if they heard that Israel not only harbored Bishop, but utilized his services.

Like I said before, for some time now I’ve been overlooking Africa as a possible theory location in this case, since many when reading this case tend to think he’s likely in Europe or still living in the states.
Another African nation I think Bishop could be living in is Kenya, since they speak English and was part of British Africa until 1965/6. Ethiopia is just to the north, which is a location he’s been stationed in prior to becoming a fugitive around 1974.
When it comes to Bishop and Africa, I tend to think that he is/was likely living in a non aligned country like Tanzania or Zambia, or a very Pro-Western country like Malawi.
Again anything is possible after 42 years.

I re-watched the Unsolved Mysteries broadcast on the Amazon Prime Robert Stack version. One thing interesting I don't think we've brought up is apparently his wife told him something about being washed up or something like that which probably added to his explosion of rage when he didn't get a promotion. This is also indicates to me a guy that wouldn't kill himself over a wife that would belittle him in that way. (Of course, she didn't deserve to get murdered). The children perhaps he would feel guilt over, but perhaps they were just unfortunate "collateral damage" in his sick mind.
