Visit To Grandma's House Turns Deadly
Police in Chicago suburb Cicero, Illinois are searching for Edgardo Rodriguez, who they say was only 16 years old when he killed a man on their streets.
It all started when cops say Lorenzo Ayala, a member of the Saint Disciples gang, and one of his friends ventured in to rival territory when they went to visit Lorenzo's grandmother on July 14th, 2003.
On the way back home, detectives say that 19-year-old Lorenzo was confronted on the street by some "Pee Wee" members (junior, younger gangsters) of the Maniac Latin Disciples.
The group exchanged words, and police say the battle escalated to a full-on street brawl.
Two Shots: Two Hits
Amidst the street scuffle a shot rang out. Then another. Police say Rodriguez had pulled up in a car during the fight and came out firing. They say both his shots hit their target, the first one in Lorenzo's shoulder and the other passed through his lung and heart. The man who had just gone to visit his grandmother died on the scene.
Despite his age, Edgardo Rodriguez faces very adult charges for Lorenzo's murder. Cicero Police also would like to question the teen terror in a second homicide once he is in custody.
Thoughts? The above was the archived description for Edgardo Rodriguez, who I believe was profiled at least four times on AMW. As far as I know he is still at large as of this posting date (10/25/2015) please let us know if you have proof otherwise though.
