Enrique Torres is wanted for the murder of 27-year old Kevin Barnhill on August 26th, 2006. He was at least on AMW's old website, although various articles claim he was aired on the show as well.
Mason, Ohio police responded to reports of a man with a baseball bat at a local pub called the Mason Bowl, 763 Reading Road, at 2:30 a.m. Aug. 26.
Instead, police found Barnhill lying nearby with stab wounds, Cope said.
At least one stab wound was in Barnhill's chest, according to a report by Mason Police Officer Aaron Yeary.
Barnhill was still breathing when police found him, about a breath every 10 seconds, according to Yeary's report.
Police and responding emergency medical services crew, however, were unable to save Barnhill. He died at the scene.
Witnesses said Barnhill may have been involved in a fight with one or more people in the parking lot of the Mason Pub, 753 Reading Road.
Using information from the investigation, both a man named Humberto Rodriguez Mota and Torres were brought in and questioned a number of times since the incident.
Mota would later be arrested but Torres appears to still be at large (he was 36 when the articles came out so I'd place him somewhere near his mid-forties today). A 2012 article mentions he was believed to be in Mexico, but Barnhill's parents didn't think enough was being done to apprehend him.
Thoughts? I should note that some articles say the fight was the result of tensions between whites and Mexicans. However, Torres needs to be arrested because he allegedly stabbed a young man over stupidity. I know I've stressed on this site not all illegals are criminals. I've also mentioned though that we need immigration reform both to make sure those who are law-abiding have a path to citizenship while those who are criminals and/or not doing the right thing are deported. Currently the system has failed in both protecting the good immigrants and getting rid of the criminal ones.
It's a tragedy and the memory of Kevin Barnhill is what this case should be about.
UPDATE: According to a search of Warren County's online criminal court records, there have been no movements in the case against Torres since 2008 (which was listed as unavailability of defendant- no filing) as of this current update (7/21/2018):
