The "Swoop and Swat" crew were a 23-member insurance fraud ring that I'm assuming originated in the 1990's. They were aired on the March 23rd, 1994 episode of Unsolved Mysteries. The "swoop and squat" scheme involves two cars and a truck. The first car goes in front of the truck while the second car tries to hit the truck, which then hits the first car. The occupants usually get minor injuries, and the con artists usually get money as a result. Thoughts? For some reason only Dr. Otto Barkeem's picture came out, but I will list all the alleged key players aired below, including two fugitives who were captured after their scheme turned deadly. Besides Dr. Barkeem, Miguel Morales, Cecilia Ortega, and Jorge Roberto Taracena (in the link for "Swoop and Squat 2") are all believed still at large as of this posting date (11/14/2015) according to Unsolved Wikia (P.S. Because of the limited information, I'd just recommend calling your local or international police line if you have information on anyone from this alleged crew): unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Swoop_And_Squat1unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Dr._Otto_Barkeemunsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Miguel_Moralesunsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Cecelia_Ortegaunsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Swoop_And_Squat2unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Cecelia_Ortega Admin Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form
